Venom was the 2018 box-office success that I don’t think anyone expected it to be. It nearly made a billion dollars and ultimately revealed to Sony Entertainment that fans were enthusiastic on their take on Venom and his origin story.
I’ve watched the movie, maybe four times, and each time I have found it somewhat enjoyable but not that good. Tom Hardy gives an inspired performance as Eddie Brock/Venom but it’s clear the character wasn’t really written for an actor his age.
Still, he did his job and made Venom likable, the movie earned a sequel, and now we’re finally getting a chance to see the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Here it is.
I saw this trailer and yeah, the beginning made me laugh, but then the trailer kind of devolved into crafting a storyline almost identical to the one for Venom.
Woody Harrelson looks ridiculous but at least his hair isn’t as wacky. The CGI for Venom and Carnage still looks kind of iffy and the story looks appropriately cheesy. I won’t be going to see this in the movie theater because I’m not that interested but I am interested to see it eventually at home.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
