I Finally Watched ‘Back to the Future’!

There are some iconic movies in history that I still haven’t seen; one of them being before today Back to the Future. I knew the film was essentially the best time travel movie of all time and I knew that it was iconic but I never felt the urge to watch it. But finally, I mustered up the determination to see why the heck this movie was so beloved and boy did I have a ball.

Movie Nights at Seventh & Tryon: Back to the Future - CLTure

Back to the Future is so much fun from its opening seconds as you try to figure out what you’re looking at before taking you on a rollercoaster ride that seems to never stop. I find myself laughing, cringing, screaming, cheering, and yes, the anxiety was real toward the end. And just when it seemed like everything was over the movie continued to be outrageously entertaining, sucking me into another fantastic adventure that will continue in the sequel.

I’ll watch the second film tomorrow but for now, I can honestly say I’m glad I saw this. It was really, really fun!

I’m giving this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars and 95 out of 100.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

  1. These movies are definite classics. One of the fun running Easter egg jokes that they liked to sneak in (which I certainly didn’t know about until I read about them later in most of them) is that the setting of the time travel usually takes place near some landmark that he then changes when he goes back, and then when he returns, the landmark is named differently due to what he changed. In the original movie, for instance, he meets Doc in the parking lot of Twin Pines Mall. Then he goes back thirty years, accidentally destroys one of the pine trees belonging to the farmer who owned the land before the mall was built, and comes back to the parking lot of… Lone Pine Mall. Same mall, different name due to his own actions.

    1. I didn’t notice the mall name had changed. Oh, that’s awesome! My favorite part of the movie hands down was seeing all of the changes when he came back, specifically with his father and Biff. It was so rewarding!
