‘The Bad Batch’ Was Kind of Boring This Week

The Bad Batch, for the past four weeks, has been so much fun. There have been some surprises, some heartfelt moments that made me care about and love these characters that I once hated, and it’s just been plain fun.

And then today’s episode happened. Will it move the story forward? Yes. Was it necessary for character development, specifically for Omega? Yes. But it was boring!

I was excited to see the Zygerrian slave traders in this animation and they were as beautiful as I imagined they’d be but…it just wasn’t one of those fun episodes for me.

It felt like one of those classic boring Clone Wars episodes that you skip to get to the next good episode. Unfortunately, I can’t skip to the next episode so…

Minor Spoilers Ahead!

But one thing I will say about this episode. There’s been theories going around that Omega is Force-sensitive. This episode all but confirmed those theories when Omega was the only clone to figure out that Cid was actually Cid just by looking at him.

The fact that the Kaminoans may have created themselves their very first Force-sensitive clone is very intriguing for the story moving forward and its implications for the future. And could we see Omega return in live-action somewhere down the line like in The Book of Boba Fett or even The Mandalorian‘s Season 3? Or maybe even Ahsoka? We’ll see.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. May the Force be with you.
