Loki is honestly one of the greatest Marvel characters ever brought to the big screen, even when he was a sneaky villain who constantly did infuriating things he was so likable. After recently watching a Youtube video ranking Loki’s best moments I decided I might as well make my own list. So here it is. My ten favorite Loki moments.

10. “Get help.”

While the movies established Loki and Thor as brothers they were portrayed as feuding brothers for most of their time together in the MCU but Thor: Ragnarok did give us a glimpse into their lives as children. The “Get help” is not only funny but so cute. I wish we could’ve had more time with them doing brotherly things but maybe we still can.

9. The Confession

Loki has had quite a journey during his time in the MCU. He’s been a villiain, an antihero, and everything else in between. But it was his series that revealed to us a side of Loki we’d never seen before; a romantic side. The only person he ever loved was his mother but meeting Sylvie changed everything for him.

His love for her culminated in a heartfelt confession that is undoubtedly one of the more emotional moments in his story. Unfortunately that confession led to betrayal and heartbreak…

8. A Confrontation of Lokis

Even though I theorized that this show could potentially introduce us to several variants of Loki I still didn’t expect what we got; over a dozen versions of the character. And not only did we get to see so many Loki variants but we also got a hilarious scene with the variants betraying each other at the same time.

Plus, President Loki’s scream after he gets his hand chomped off by Alligator Loki is legendary.

7. “We have a Hulk.”

Talk about coming full circle. Loki’s final moments in the original timeline end rather tragically but not before we see just how far Loki’s grown as a character. He didn’t try to join Thanos’ side and have his brother killed. He tried with everything in his power to defeat Thanos, cementing his stance as a hero in the end. And this line right here is pretty much the moment he became an Avenger. 😭

6. “Your savior is here!”

I already loved Loki but it was his heroic turn in Thor: Ragnarok that turned me into a bona fide fan of the character. To see him fighting alongside his brother, his beautiful green cape flowing in the wind, is just so cool!

I’m going to need Loki and Thor to reunite again. Talk about a tear fest.

5. “Nothing matters.”

The Loki series had plenty of great moments but this was undoubtedly one of the best. Seeing Loki be his chaotic, hilarious self while Pompeii is getting ready to be destroyed was truly one of the highlights of the series and it manages to make me laugh every time.

4. “Puny god.”

This moment has become iconic in the MCU for a reason. Back in 2012 when I first saw it it was the funniest thing that had ever happened in a Marvel movie. And even to this day, it’s still one of the funniest moments. There’s just something so satisfying about seeing Hulk thrash Loki like a ragdoll.

And then, for that moment to come full circle in Thor: Ragnarok, with Thor being on the receiving end of Hulk’s wrath and Loki cheering is just priceless.

3. Loki Discovers the Truth

In terms of best-acted scene in the MCU, I’m definitely picking this random gem from Thor every time because it is exceptional. The level of pain Hiddleston pours into this scene as he emotionally confronts Anthony Hopkins’ Odin when discovering he’s a Frost Giant is incredible to watch.

I was hoping Loki would delve a bit into this part of his painful past but I understand why it wasn’t necessary for the show.

2. Loki Watches His Story in the TVA

Ever since I watched the teaser for Loki and realized 2012 Loki was going to have to watch his story unfold from the other timeline I had been waiting to see that scene. Sure enough, it didn’t disappoint.

It’s another obvious display of Hiddleston’s incredible acting skills plus it’s just such a good moment for him as a character. I love that scene so much.

And 1. Loki Hugs Mobius

I don’t think there’s a Loki moment as profoundly moving as this one. See, Loki’s not big on trust and while he forged a bond with Sylvie pretty quickly they are variants of one another so, essentially, he was simply getting along with another version of himself.

But Mobius is a completely different person that he actually began to cherish. Seeing him hug Mobius and then genuinely say, “Thank you, my friend” is hands down the greatest level of development for Loki that we’ve seen up to this point. It’s so beautiful.😭😭😭
