I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a movie for a while but here we are, seventeen days away from September 3, and my excitement for this movie is literally through the roof. I mean I can barely contain myself sometimes. And now, with the first critic reactions released for the film, it seems that Marvel has another hit on their hands. Check out some of these reactions.
It must be tiring to some to always see so many positive reactions to a new Marvel movie but honestly, this studio keeps delivering knockout punches with every installment in the franchise.
The overall consensus for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, according to the critics, is that the action is incredible, the film is really emotional and features a beautifully complex family dynamic, and that Simu Liu is about to become the next iconic Marvel hero.
Considering that I loved Raya and the Last Dragon this year and the attention to Southeast-Asian culture while maintaining a story that was both profound and poignant, if Shang-Chi is anything like that movie I will be absolutely floored. I’m talking ridiculously thrilled.
These first reactions honestly have me buzzing so I guess it’s about time to start a (movies only) Marvel marathon in the lead-up to the big day. Ooh, I’m pumped!
