My Review of ‘Emma.’

I don’t usually watch these type of movies. When the newest adaptation of Little Women was all the rave last year I looked the other way. And the closest movie I could say I’ve ever seen to this type of posh British love-story movie is Barry Lyndon which was a nearly three-hour long epic rather than a cute, comedic story.

However, yesterday I decided to watch Emma. because the film looked pretty on commercials and I like Anya Taylor-Joy enough to not be annoyed watching her in such a role. To be honest, I had no idea what the story was about but it wasn’t long before the gorgeous frames and cheeky humor reeled me in.

Emma. is no masterpiece but it sure was an entertaining two hours of my time as my sister and I were transported to early 19th-century England where we listened to the gossip of the lords and the ladies and watched riveted as the petty drama ensued.

By the end, I was pleasantly surprised and I was glad I watched it. Maybe now, if I get the chance, I’ll watch Little Women.

I’m giving it 93 out of 100 and 4 out of 5 stars.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

The Guardians of the Multiverse Are Here!

The finale of What If…? has arrived and yes, it serves. The Guardians of the Multiverse have been formed to save the universe from Ultron’s genocidal machinations and boy are they awesome.

Captain Carter, Star-Lord, Killmonger, Doctor Strange Supreme, Black Widow, Gamora, and Party Thor were the ultimate team and I loved everyone of their additions. Captain Carter and Doctor Strange were the undoubted MVPs’ of the show as they managed to display their awesomeness in abundance. (I’m going to need live-action versions of them in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness asap.)

And yes, the showdown lived up to the hype. Ultron’s power was not diminished to make it an easy fight for the heroes. In fact, this finale showdown is actually one of the most tense in the MCU with so many jaw-droppingly awesome (and uh-oh) moments.

So yes, the finale was fun, it wasn’t my favorite episode, that still belongs to the fourth and eighth episodes, but it was a fitting finale. Now onto Season 2.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
