We’re officially four days away from The Batman hitting theaters (well, two and three days for some people) and the review embargo has been lifted for the film, revealing the thoughts of so many critics and yes, the reactions have me very excited for Friday. Here are some of them.

‘The Dark Knight’ Is Hands Down the Best Superhero Movie Ever Made
Ahead of The Batman this weekend I started to binge-watch Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and once again, I was blown away by The Dark Knight. It’s a film that never gets old nor does it ever seem to disappoint. Considering how much I enjoyed it last night, I figured I might as well revisit this review I wrote of one of my favorite movies of all time. Enjoy!

In Case You Didn’t Know It, ‘West Side Story’ Is Coming to Disney+ On Wednesday
Yes, Steven Spielberg’s attempt at recreating one of the most iconic and beloved musicals of all time, West Side Story, is finally coming to Disney+ on Wednesday. I have to admit, I’m kind of excited.
After recently watching E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for the first time (which was one of the most magical movie experiences I’ve ever had, I couldn’t stop crying for the last thirty minutes by the way) and seeing the last hour of The Color Purple on AMC today I was once again reminded about the incredible filmmaker that Steven Spielberg is.
He is a magician, deftly using his incredible genius to make some of the greatest movies of all time. And now I get to see how he handles a musical. That’s a fascinating thought.
Thankfully I’ve only seen West Side Story once so I’ve honestly forgotten most of the story. I’m very excited to share my review with you all and hopefully, I’ll enjoy it more than I did the original.
And then two days after that, I get to see The Batman. Oh my goodness, I’m so excited!
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day.
Early Talk About ‘The Batman’ Makes It Sound Like This Just Might Be the Best Batman Movie Since ‘The Dark Knight’
Matt Reeves isn’t a director who has made a bunch of critically-acclaimed films but what he did with the final Planet of the Apes movie, War for the Planet of Apes, was nothing short of extraordinary.
In 2017, I listed the film as my favorite of the year, touting its remarkable storytelling and emotional conclusion for a story that seemed destined to be a mediocre franchise. Now he’s taken on one of the most popular fictional characters of all time, Batman.
After Christopher Nolan took on the Dark Knight, providing the character one of the most critically-acclaimed trilogies of all time, it seemed that any attempt at making another great Batman movie would never be seen again. And yet, as early buzz about The Batman is beginning to roll in, it seems like Reeves may have done the impossible and made a Batman movie on par with one of the greatest movies of all time, The Dark Knight. Check out some of the things people are beginning to say.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anymore but yeah, the word that’s spreading is that this movie is gooood. I absolutely can’t wait to see the film for myself next Friday and share my thoughts with you all immediately afterward. I hope it’s as dark as it seems.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.
Here Are (Too Many) Posters for ‘Fantastic Beasts and the Secrets of Dumbledore’
The third Fantastic Beasts movie is coming out in April (yeah, that was quick) and marketing is starting to ramp up for the film. Am I excited about it? Not really. Will I watch it in theaters? For sure, but this story feels like the Sequel Trilogy to me, all over the place.
When the first one came out six years ago it felt like a fresh new story with brand new characters. And then, like Warner Bros. pressured Peter Jackson to incorporate more connections to The Lord of the Rings in The Hobbit Trilogy, the Fantastic Beasts franchise has become the Dumbledore show.
Instead of focusing primarily on Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander and his journey to find fantastic beasts, hence the name of the franchise, the five-part saga has become a prequel to the story we all know and love, the Harry Potter movies. I guess it’s for the best but when the posters came out earlier this week and I saw how many characters are in this new story I realized that this story may just be a bit too dense to save anymore. We’ll see after the new trailer comes out today. For now, here are ALL of the posters. Enjoy!

This month Disney+ dropped an original K-Drama series called Snowdrop. It was a sudden release of something I’d never heard of before but, considering that it was on Disney+, I decided to give it a chance.
This show shocked me in so many ways. From the very first episode I was hooked into the story but by the third episode, I couldn’t stop obsessing over this show which is the epitome of an emotional rollercoaster.
Snowdrop is not what you think it is. It’s a riveting, tense, dramatic thriller with 16 episodes that are each roughly an hour and a half long. Basically, you’re going to get a heck of a story that takes plenty of time to set up what is one of the most emotional finales I’ve ever seen.
If you like drama and a heck of a good tv show I HIGHLY recommend Disney+’s newest obsession, Snowdrop. It is truly remarkable.
I’m giving it 97 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars. It was basically the perfect story and I enjoyed binge-watching it over two weeks very much.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.
