I can’t believe it. In two weeks I will be walking into my local Regal to see the Dark Knight on the big screen. Am I expecting it to be a great movie like one of the Nolan Batman movies? No. I am expecting a good movie though.
The Riddler is an antagonist I’m not very familiar with which allows Matt Reeves to flesh out the character in a way where it doesn’t feel like I’m comparing him to some other performance. I mean, Jim Carrey was funny as The Riddler but he definitely wasn’t this dark, creepy version of the character and I am hoping he’s as thrilling a villain as he seems in the trailers and that one riveting clip.
I’m also very excited to see Zoe Kravitz add her name to the iconic long line of Catwoman. She looks perfect for the role, she seems like the right choice opposite Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, and yeah, I’m ready to see her kick butt on the big screen.
Very soon we’ll be getting The Batman‘s world premiere and that means we’ll hear what the critics have to say. Hopefully, their feedback is positive.
All in all, I’ve got my tickets secured and I am thrilled that this will be the first film I see in theaters this year.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.
