With The Batman arriving in two days, the movie season has officially begun. And that of course means more trailers. Here are the newest trailers for Morbius and Fantastic Beasts.
While this trailer is still surprisingly withholding a lot of information, mainly about the film’s antagonist, it is making sure to remind people that the Sony Spider-Verse will still be very prominent in this new story. Seeing Michael Keaton’s Mr. Toomes in this trailer is intriguing, for sure. I still feel like we could see the eventual culmination of the true blue Sinister Six, led by Vulture, and consisting of a new MCU iteration of Venom, Morbius, Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, and potentially the return of Mysterio who I still believe is alive.
I will definitely be watching this in theaters on April 1.
I was thinking about actually seeing this in theaters but after this second trailer I’ve changed my mind. This movie is just not making me happy at all. It doesn’t feel like it’s about fantastic beasts anymore, Newt Scamander has been hijacked as the lead character by Dumbledore, Mads Mikkelsen’s Grindelwald doesn’t excite me, and I don’t care about the story itself.
Unless this movie gets 85% on Rotten Tomatoes or higher I just can’t see myself suffering through over two hours of this mess in theaters.
So, there’s the trailer news of this week so far. Hopefully we’ll get a teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder sooner rather than later.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.
