I love it when I randomly watch movies that I’ve never seen before and had no intention of watching but end up enjoying. That’s what happened yesterday when my family and I stopped on FX and ended up watching both of these movies back to back.

The Blind Side garnered Sandra Bullock an Oscar for her performance as Leigh Anne Tuohy, a kind woman who takes in a homeless teenager, Michael Oher, who then becomes a football star. It’s a true story and a heartwarming feel-good movie that had me and my family clapping teary-eyed at the end.
The movie was very enjoyable, far better than I had expected, and Sandra Bullock deserved her Oscar win 100%.

And then there was Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. This movie was outrageously funny from beginning to end with so many hilarious twists and turns. I was very surprised to see Sacha Baron Cohen in the film and yes, he had me in stitches. In fact, there were a lot of moments that I’ll remember because it was that funny.
For years I had heard about this movie and I knew it was one of Will Ferrel’s best films. Well, now I know why.

So, basically, I had a great Saturday.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
