Well, Marvel Studios just did that! I can honestly say this was the best premiere for any MCU show so far.

It was unique, surprisingly hilarious, intense, shocking, way scarier than I was expecting, but most importantly, I was riveted. Oscar Isaac transformed so perfectly into Steven Grant, this quirky guy who works at a gift shop and gets thrust into this world of espionage and Egyptian deities. And then as Marc Spector, you really feel like he’s a guy who knows what he’s doing as a mercenary. I just can’t wait to see what exactly that is.

Ethan Hawke was magnificent. I don’t know anything about this character, Arthur Harrow, and that is definitely refreshing. It makes me more scared when he appears and I’m more intrigued about this character and what he will add to this franchise.

All in all, this was a perfect start for a series I wasn’t expecting to enjoy as much, and wow, wow, wow. I’m so ready for next week!
