33. The Incredible Hulk

I actually haven’t seen this movie in a while. Maybe I’ll watch it again and give it a better ranking…or not.

32. Thor

Thor has its moments but overall it’s pretty subpar.

31. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Decent, not great.

30. Ant-Man and the Wasp

A somewhat boring sequel that I have lost interest in.

29. Iron Man 2

I get it now, Iron Man 2 is the worst entry in the Iron Man trilogy.

28. Captain Marvel

Brie Larson is a great actress (just watch her Oscar-winning performance in Room) but even she seems stilted in this mediocre superhero flick. But she does look very cool when she’s glowing.

27. Iron Man 3

No, it’s not perfect, but it’s got its moments.

26. Thor: The Dark World

I used to think this was one of the MCU’s worst films but honestly, it’s kind of grown on me. Loki is great in this movie, Thor is kind of allowed to be hilarious, and it’s easy to watch.

25. Avengers: Age of Ultron

Even though the MCU is known for including comedy the 84 jokes dropped in this movie (yeah, I counted one day) is just too much. And Ultron is super lame. But this movie does give us Wanda and Vision so…yay!

24. Ant-Man

The best thing about Ant-Man is that absolutely phenomenal climactic action scene between Ant-Man and Yellow Jacket. It’s creative, it’s funny, and it’s got some really awesome moments that I wish I had been to see in a theater.

23. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

My feelings about this show changed drastically after the finale. As it was airing weekly I couldn’t get enough of the show but once it reached its conclusion I started seeing the show’s flaws and boy were there a lot of them.

It’s good but definitely not great.

22. Captain America: The First Avenger

I used to not like this movie but as Captain America’s story continued this film got better and better and better. And the end always makes me cry.

21. Iron Man

The first Iron Man film is clearly written very well and manages to be an engaging superhero origin story. I’m sure there are many people who would see Iron Man being so low on this list as an absolute travesty but I’ve just never thought this film was a masterpiece.

It’s a good superhero film and it did a great job starting off the MCU but there are just better movies.

20. Eternals

Eternals is a beautiful film, the story is interesting, but there’s something extremely lacking to keep me coming back for more. Is it the story? I don’t think so. I think mainly it’s the chemistry between the cast which doesn’t come across as natural as it could’ve. And it doesn’t help that the movie is wrapped around an intense love story between Sersi and Ikaris and their chemistry is so wooden it’s just hard to believe they’re that in love with one another.

I feel Sersi’s connection with Dane Whitman way more and they’re together for literally a couple of scenes.

19. Moon Knight

Moon Knight is a good show with some great moments but overall, after the series’ conclusion, I feel like the show could’ve definitely been better. But it is a rather fascinating and detailed introduction to a character who is now one of my favorite in the MCU.

18. Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming is a good movie with one of the best plot twists in the MCU but it’s twenty-thirty minutes too long.

17. Hawkeye

I knew Hawkeye deserved more storytelling! This show did not prove me wrong. It was great during the holidays and yeah, it made me cry way more than I could’ve possibly expected. Be sure to bring the tissues with this show.

16. Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War is a good film, through and through. And yet…I just can’t watch this movie anymore. There’s something incredibly flat about this film that keeps me from being as invested as I could be, hence its spot on this list.

15. Spider-Man: Far from Home

Spider-Man: Far from Home is good but it isn’t spectacular. It’s ultimately Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio that keeps me coming back to see this film over and over again.

14. WandaVision

WandaVision was an experience, for better and worse. And this story only becomes more interesting after seeing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

13. Spider-Man: No Way Home

Like Han Solo would probably say, “This movie has it where it counts, kid.” The first half is pure fun, the second half is depressing as heck, with some moments of genuine sunshine. Unfortunately, without being in a theater hollering and clapping at every other scene, the flaws are a lot easier to see.

12. Black Panther

Black Panther is an iconic movie and yes, the only MCU film to be nominated for Best Picture. It, however, is a bit boring nowadays. It’s still one of the best superhero movies ever made though.

11. The Avengers

This is the only Phase 1 MCU film that has aged exceptionally over the years (well, Captain America’s suit is still awful but we can deal with that.) It balances great action scenes with a phenomenal story that brings these incredible heroes together in a way that was cohesive and profoundly enjoyable.

10. Black Widow

I didn’t think this was going to be a top MCU film for me but it turned out to be just that. They worked really hard on this movie and provided Black Widow a solo film to be proud of. Hopefully, this is the beginning of an amazing Black Widow trilogy, continuing with Yelena Belova.

9. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

This film’s opening eight minutes or so are the best in the MCU, hands down. The rest of the movie is pretty darn good too.

8. Thor: Ragnarok

Funny as heck and with plenty of heart, Thor: Ragnarok was the revamp Thor desperately needed.

7. Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame isn’t a perfect film thanks to its convoluted time-travel shenanigans or its underwhelming second act but it makes up for it with an incredible third act that still brings happy tears to my eyes to this day.

6. Loki

Loki is a great series because it stays true to the character of Loki while finally giving him the character development he needed and simultaneously introducing us to the multiverse and Kang the Conqueror. Plus, it gave us Sylvie. I love this show.

5. Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is a great character and this movie, a gripping origin story which has become one of the most rewatchable films in the MCU, is near-perfection.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy

This was the first Marvel movie to take things outside of the box and offer viewers something they would never forget. It was a risk, for sure, but it was well worth the reward.

3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I haven’t watched this movie since late last year but I know when I do sit down and watch it again I’m going to be a happy camper.

2. What If…?

This show is absolutely fantastic. The creativity, the animation, the fact that most of the characters were voiced by their live-action versions, it’s a great series. And it gave us Captain Carter who I am SO EXCITED to see in Multiverse of Madness.

1. Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War still reings supreme but maybe, just maybe, Multiverse of Madness can dethrone it. Maybe.

Well, there’s my updated ranking. I can’t wait to see where I end up placing the installments from this year into the mix.
