I want to love this show and this character and this new chapter being built in the MCU but that second episode just made me pump on the praise brakes. Why? Three reasons.
- Despite this show being billed as a comedy, it wasn’t very funny this week. I saw the jokes coming from a mile away and when most of the jokes didn’t land that well.
- The fourth-wall breaking felt shoehorned this week rather than feeling natural which was another major denomination to this show’s quality.
- It was too short.
The MCU, in order to continue surprising and bringing in new fans, has turned to more genres for their shows and movies to keep viewers interested. And while She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has the chance to be a funny, fun series by its conclusion that second episode made me fear the worst (that it’s actually going to be as underwhelming as my gut first told me when I saw the trailer.)
Jennifer Walters’ dynamic with Bruce Banner in the first episode was delightful but now that they’re no longer together I’m starting to miss that aspect of the show quickly. Hopefully, next week’s episode will restore my faith in this series and remind me why I love She-Hulk.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
It was about the shortest show I’ve ever seen! Must be less than 20 mins of actual content!
