Okay, I like this show now. It’s got me. It’s hilarious, it’s fun, and it’s becoming something I’m looking forward to on my Thursday mornings.
I love that this show has fully committed to being silly. It really works with She-Hulk as a character while allowing this series to feel hilariously different and the humor in this episode was actually great.
There were so many moments where I found myself laughing at the writing and the performances of the actors. I had been waiting for this show to truly feel like a 30-minute comedy and while it began to feel that way with the third episode the last two episodes have cemented its status as such.
This was my favorite episode so far for sure. I was especially with its likability considering that this was the first episode to not have a cameo in it. That just goes to show that Jennifer Walters is, indeed, a character who can stand on her own without the aid of a beloved MCU character.
This episode also made me like her friend, Nikki, more. She always felt like a character that I was supposed to like but she wasn’t afforded the chance to have much of a role in the past episodes.
And yes, that easter egg at the end which sets up the return of a beloved Marvel character later in the season was definitely exciting.
I’m actually looking forward to whatever the next episode is going to be about.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.
