A few weeks ago despite having enjoyed She-Hulk: Attorney at Law I had it squarely in last place among the MCU Disney+ series. And yet, as the weeks have gone by and the episodes have become more and more enjoyable I can now say, almost definitively, that I like this better than Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel. And this week was kind of the icing on the cake.
This episode not only had me smiling from ear to ear and laughing at the goofy humor but it also got surprisingly heartfelt. This was the first episode in the season that made me genuinely care for Jennifer Walters in a way I didn’t see coming. The show has slowly built her story perfectly, showing us the interesting flip-flop of how she’s handled as a Hulk in society. Unlike Bruce Banner who is feared as the Hulk, it is her Hulk-version that people are more drawn to which has proven to be both a blessing and a curse.
I love this dynamic and how it has been highlighted in this series. It has made me even more excited that she’s now a part of the MCU and I absolutely cannot wait to see her begin to interact with other superheroes. Of course, either next week or the finale we will get to see her team up with Daredevil which will surely be absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to see their interactions and how she evolves into being more than just a lawyer as she embraces superhero life.
There are lots of new characters that have made their debut in Phase 4 and become instant fan favorites. I can happily say that She-Hulk is one of my new favorite characters in the MCU. She’s just so relatable. She sees this world of superheroes and super beings with a refreshing new lens and that alone is exciting.
I can’t wait to see what happens next week.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
