If you’ve been following my blog you would know that since Episode 4 I have been thoroughly enjoying my weekly watches of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This week was no exception.
Today we finally got the highly-anticipated return of one of the most beloved portrayals of a Marvel character, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. After watching Daredevil on Netflix I now understand why. The man was perfect in the role, claiming it as his own and thankfully Kevin Feige understood that he was the only person who could bring Daredevil to life in the MCU.
Today’s episode, however, was surprising in a way I didn’t quite expect but enjoyed nonetheless. She-Hulk has established herself fantastically over the previous seven episodes which allowed her to not be outshined by Murdock. I loved their dynamic and the way they were utilized in this series. I’m honestly still a bit taken aback at how perfectly he was integrated into this episode without it feeling forced or out of place.
It was the episode’s dark ending that was the underrated highlight of the episode though. I honestly was shocked at how quickly the tone of the show changed entirely. What it means for next week’s episode, I’m not quite sure but I can’t wait to find out.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
I can appreciate this somewhat… but I’ve decided I can’t follow four shows at once and give them the amount of thought I need to write about them all for the time being, and between this, Andor, RoP, and HotD, it wasn’t a particularly hard call which one wouldn’t make the cut. It has its amusing moments, but… yeah.
I kind of hope I’ll be able to come back to it later when I’m more bored, or after some of the others end. But… a 50 year old hermit with a very dim view of the way social media has taken over our culture in the last six-plus years is clearly not this show’s target audience.
It’s fine. Let people who are enjoy it. Maybe I’ll make myself come back to the rest of it later, but… I suppose “can’t even make myself finish the series on time” kind of forces this past Hawkeye to the bottom of my list of the Disney+ Marvel shows.
