Throwback Friday: My First NBA Game!

Another glorious week has passed and that means it’s time for another segment of Throwback Friday and this one is very special for me because on this exact day last year I wrote this very post: My First NBA Game! It was an exciting occasion for me because I LOVE sports and who doesn’t want to see one of the greatest basketball players of all time; Lebron James?

So, I’m here to recelebrate that unforgettable experience. Enjoy!

So I was visiting some family up in Cleveland, Ohio and it just so happened that I was in town when the Cleveland Cavaliers had a home game against the Chicago Bulls and so it was only logical to go see the game. And all I can say is it was the best way to be introduced to my first NBA game. I mean I literally saw Lebron James, in person, playing on Tuesday night with my own eyeballs. That’s incredible!

So first off on that beautiful day in Cleveland, there was a short downpour as my family and I were finding parking that produced two gigantic rainbows, and we ended up getting a great parking space basically right around the corner from the stadium. Score!

Once we parked we headed to the Quicken Loans Arena and I took some pictures along the way.

Aren’t these some awesome rocks?!

These incredibly special rocks were right across the street from where we parked and I just had to take a picture.

Throwback Friday: My First Golf Championship

It’s Friday, the start of the glorious weekend, and it’s the beginning of a new segment I’m excited to share with you all. It’s called, as you can see from the name of this post, Throwback Friday. Every Friday I will repost an old article and so today, on the premiere of Throwback Friday, I will share with you My First Golf Championship. I hope you enjoy. 🙂

The Beginning of my Day

So in order to enjoy the full experience of the first day at the Wells Fargo Championship one must get up before the birds and head to the Golf Course at 5am, which I did with my family, and so when we finally arrived at the Golf Course it was still mainly dark outside (a rather chilly 55 degrees) and the workers were just getting there. Yeah, we were at the Golf Course before the workers even arrived. So it was about 6am in the morning, there were amateur and I think (I don’t know the golfers very well) some professional golfers practicing at the driving range but there wasn’t any sight of Tiger anywhere to be seen so we continued walking around and figuring out where the holes were and just wasting time. A little while later we went back to the driving range at another spot and first Justin Thomas came out which caused a bit of excited arouse. (I don’t know anything about him but I saw him. Yay!) And then…Tiger arrived! *jaw drop*

This is Tiger at the Driving Range! *squeal* Yes…it’s Tiger Woods…in the flesh.

It was amazing! This was the first golfing championship I’ve ever been to and I was seeing Tiger Woods not ten feet away. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was. But that wasn’t the end. It was only the beginning.

This Trailer Is Getting Me Pumped for ‘Creed II’

Since Rocky IV there hadn’t been a decent installment in this legendary boxing movie franchise until Creed. Creed, written by Black Panther writer/director Ryan Coogler, is an incredibly crafted story of a young man who’s chasing his deceased father’s legacy, Apollo Creed, while building a legacy of his own. It’s filled with raw emotion, incredible acting, and realistic moments that truly ground the film in ways I haven’t seen since Rocky III.

Now, Creed returns with a new challenge. He must face the son of his father’s killer in a boxing match of the ages. So, to get you pumped for that exciting event, here’s the second trailer of Creed II.

My First Golf Championship

The Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, NC is happening right now and I just so happened to be lucky enough to go to it on the first day during the pro-am because guess what? Tiger Woods was there and there was no way I wasn’t going! And I had quite the experience too. And so, as I depart from my usual movie talk, I’m here to share with you the remarkable time I had at the Wells Fargo Championship yesterday. Enjoy! 🙂

After getting a few pictures of the golfing legend I went with my family and got some Wells Fargo Championship souvenirs and after my sister and I put on our brand new visors we went to the 1st tee where Tiger would begin the pro-am day at 7am.

And here’s yet another fascinating up close shot of Tiger as he prepares to hit the first shot of the day.

I was so excited to see Tiger at the first tee and when he swung and hit the ball all I could say was, “Woooow!” I still kind of can’t believe I saw one of the greatest golfers of all time at such an up close level yesterday. Awesome!

After that we rushed down to the 1st green where we took some more pictures and then zoomed to the 2nd green where we knew the crowd wouldn’t be yet. We got ourselves a great spot and I was able to take some more fascinating shots of the Tiger Woods.

After that we continued down the golf course and after following Tiger through the 3rd and 4th hole we decided to go to Hole 7 and camp out a bit so we could see Tiger and some of the other golfers.

As I was walking I just happened to look at how stunning the golf course was on that cool and breezy morning so my sister and I had to take some pictures displaying some of the beauty of the course.

This is on our way to Hole 7.

And then we walked a little bit and saw another area to take glorious pictures.

I Am So Excited for the US Open Women’s Championship Today!

The past week of women’s tennis has been thrilling to watch. From the quarter-final match between Sloane Stephens and #13 Stevaslova to the semifinal match between unranked Stephens and #3 Venus Williams. This semifinal was amazing this year. First of all, all four women were American. When does that ever happen? And secondly, three of the four women had never had opportunities like this before. Stephens managed to, after an amazing last set, beat Williams and advance to the final for the first time. And Madison Keys blew past Coco Vandeweghe as if her competitor wasn’t even good. She had so much focus and control that it was truly incredible to watch. She also has advanced to the final for the first time in her career as well.

This is very heartening for American tennis to see two Americans in the final of the US Open. Not only is it a great accomplishment for our country but Venus and Serena Williams are on their way out, whether I like it or not, and I’ve always wondered when they’re gone who will take their place? Now there are three talented American female tennis players who, if they continue like this, can take the tennis world by storm and I’m just so happy. Of course, this could just be a lucky year and this could possibly never happen again but I’m loving it while it lasts.
