Throwback Friday: Here Are the Ways the Dead Heroes in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Can Return in ‘Avengers 4’

Before a movie comes out I always like to predict what’s going to happen in a film and I’m so GLAD I ran across this post I wrote back in May of last year. It’s kind of fascinating and that’s why I wanted to share it with you for this week’s Throwback Friday. Enjoy!

As I’m sure you all know by now-

(If you don’t know then discontinue reading this NOW because there are MAJOR spoilers ahead.)

-a lot of people died in Avengers: Infinity War. I mean, a LOT! So many in fact that it’s kind of obvious that they’ll be brought back in the next Avengers film but here’s the question: How can they be brought back from the dead to return to fight Thanos in a last battle worthy of this Avengers finale? Well, that’s what I’m here to theorize and I hope you enjoy. 🙂 Continue reading Throwback Friday: Here Are the Ways the Dead Heroes in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Can Return in ‘Avengers 4’

Throwback Friday: I’m Convinced That Captain Phasma Isn’t Gone

This is hilarious! Looking back at this post that I wrote last April about Captain Phasma playing a role in The Rise of Skywalker is actually really funny. At the time, I was so heartbroken that Captain Phasma, one of the coolest characters to appear in this franchise, was gone that I refused to believe the obvious fact. Now, seventeen months later, looking back at this post is actually quite the comic relief. So, for this week’s Throwback Friday, here’s a look back at why I was so certain that Captain Phasma would play a role in The Rise of Skywalker. Enjoy!

The Force Awakens introduced some exciting new characters to the Star Wars universe and one of those incredible new additions was Captain Phasma. I remember seeing some concept art for The Force Awakens in the early months of 2014 and one of the most interesting pieces of art was the one that highlighted Phasma in concept form. It was literally one of the coolest things I had ever seen. Then, when I found out that this incredible new stormtrooper was a woman I was like, “WHAAAT!” She was so awesome!!! And then I watched The Force Awakens and I was like, “Huh?” There was so much hype surrounding that character and she ended up playing a ridiculously minor role that quite possibly didn’t need to be in the movie. She was simply eye candy for the film and a chance for Disney to say they introduced the first female villain to a Star Wars movie. Throwback Friday: My Awesome Magazine Collection

At the end of the year I will have to share my updated list of awesome magazines that I’ve collected but until then, take a look at these old magazines that are a part of my ever-growing collection. Enjoy!

I love collecting awesome Entertainment Weekly (and other) magazines that feature covers of my favorite upcoming movies. So, on that note, take a look back at these fascinating magazine covers.

My Marvel Movie Collection

Magazine1

These issues are all in alphabetical order and date back to December 2015. Can you believe that?! So many Marvel movies have come out in that time. You’ve got first looks at Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange. There’s Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and Black Panther. Oh, let me tell you a little bit about my experience when I got the Thor: Ragnarok issue.

I had seen bits and pieces of Thor: Ragnarok concept art (only of Hela) in the movie news but I had no idea of the changes that would be made to the Asgardian God of Thunder. So imagine my surprise when I get my Entertainment Weekly that week and saw Thor with his short hairdo, wielding two swords, and flanked by these two AWESOME looking women. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen with Thor and I practically exploded with excitement. It was a great day.

To revisit these issues brings me so much joy as I think about the excitement I obtained with every collection.

So out of these eight marvelous covers I broke it down to the four I like the best. Here they are.

Throwback Friday: My Top 5 Yoda Quotes

Yoda is one of the most beloved Star Wars characters for obvious reasons; he’s awesome. He’s, in my opinion, the wisest character in the franchise and this can be said as much from his memorable sayings. His quotes are so inspiring that sometimes they can help me through the day. So, on that note, here are my five favorite quotes from the wizened Jedi master himself. Enjoy!

5. “We are what they grow beyond. That is the burden of all masters.”

The Last Jedi delivered a delightful Yoda cameo that reunited the deceased master with his former apprentice, Luke Skywalker. It was a fascinating moment the two characters shared after a three-decade hiatus and this quote pushed the idea that yes, the old ways of the Jedi were passing on, but that another generation of Jedi was rising.

Throwback Friday: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Was A Fun Ride, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Is Going To Be An Emotional Rollercoaster

On April 4 of this year, I wrote a post highlighting the emotional differences between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Looking back, I’m surprised at how accurate I was in predicting how much of a cry fest Endgame would end up being. So, for this week’s Throwback Friday, I thought this would be the perfect flashback post to read. Enjoy!

Avengers: Infinity War is one of the few films that I can watch over and over again and still enjoy with every single viewing. It’s ranked #60 (or at least it used to be) on IMDb’s Top #250 movies with a ranking of 8.5 out of 10 and it totally deserves it. The movie is amazing. It’s one of the easiest movies to watch multiple times because there’s so much to love about it.

We get to enjoy all of our favorite heroes. The action scenes are phenomenal. The music is amazing. The emotional levels of this film are truly stirring. And the end is just…the best.

Avengers: Infinity War is one of the greatest stories I have ever witnessed onscreen. There are comedy and suspense, riveting dialogue and romance, triumph and tragedy, all locked into a film that feels like your classic superhero movie but manages to present a shocking twist as the heroes actually end up losing to the villain, Thanos.

And that’s why Infinity War is so great!

Throwback Friday: Here are 5 Characters I Hope Will Be in Phase 4 of the MCU

On June 15 of this year, I wrote a post sharing the five superheroes I wanted to see in Phase 4 of the MCU. Here’s a look back at my choices and which ones actually ended up correct, which is amazing! Enjoy!

Monica Rambeau

monicacarolmaria.jpg

Monica Rambeau’s debut was in Captain Marvel. Like Cassie Lang in the Ant-Man films, she was inspired by her superhero co-parent, in this case, it would be Carol Danvers, and she wanted to help fight the bad guys.

The events of Avengers: Endgame, which mostly takes place in the year 2023, is twenty-eight years after Captain Marvel. That means Monica Rambeau, by Avengers: Endgame is in her late thirties’. If Marvel follows her story like in the comics then that means she’s surely a superhero by that time. Maybe in a future film, we’ll get to see Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau team up in the ultimate heroine-duo as two flying bolts of pure power. Wow. Now that’s a thought.
