Captain Marvel, the heroine whose sudden importance to the MCU is a mystery in itself. Up until now superheroes in the MCU are usually introduced through subtle references or easter eggs that announce their arrival long before they eventually debut in a movie. Captain Marvel hasn’t been afforded that luxury.
Until Avengers: Infinity War next to nothing has been said about this superhero who’s supposedly the strongest Marvel hero to date in the current roster of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And then, with an awesome end-credits scene at the end of Infinity War, this hero that flies among the stars has suddenly been placed to the forefront of the conversation surrounding Avengers 4. But why?
Some fans are a bit peeved that she’s being introduced in such an abrupt fashion. They think Marvel is finding an excuse to make their first female standalone film so that the franchise will look as inclusive as possible rather than setting up something that’s legitimately important.

Captain Marvel is coming out next year and with its recent teaser a whole lot of questions have been raised about its story and the characters within this movie. We know that it’s going to tell the origin story of Carol Danvers becoming Captain Marvel in a way that hasn’t been achieved in the MCU yet but it’s the characters around her that will also help bring this story to life. One of those specific characters that I’m very excited to see is Jude Law’s role.
In Entertainment Weekly‘s article of the highly-anticipated film little was said about his character other than he views Carol Danvers as a mentee and is very interested in her. They, however, wouldn’t say what his name was. Why is that? What’s the secret behind his identity? Well, today I’ve done a bit of research and I’ve come up with my own hypothesis of who he is. Let me give you a rundown of the possibilities of his identity before I give you my full conclusion.

This month has been jam-packed with trailers for upcoming movies that are set to come out later this year and early next year. So, since there have been so many movie trailers I’m here to rank them for you. Enjoy!
Creed is clearly going to be a good movie, there’s no doubt about that, but I judge a film by how many chills its trailer gives me and this trailer didn’t me give me the goosebumps I would’ve liked.

The teaser for Captain Marvel came out last Tuesday, shocking the internet and making a whole bunch of Marvel fans super excited to see the highly-anticipated arrival of one of Marvel’s most powerful heroes. This trailer has made me super excited to see Captain Marvel.
The trailer for Captain Marvel came out two days ago, blowing away the internet with its short but concise trailer that teased a lot of awesomeness. Now that I’ve gotten my head around it and have been able to really evaluate the trailer I’m going to share with you the five things that stood out to me the most from this rather epic teaser. Enjoy!
1. The 90s’ Vibe
One period of the MCU that is practically a blank playing field is the 90s’ which makes this the absolute perfect time to introduce Captain Marvel to the world. She is such a powerful and important character that it seems a little strange that we haven’t heard of her until now but this movie will tell us why she’s been absent until this point.
It’s really awesome, however, seeing Carol Danvers in this time period that I don’t know anything about. The clothes, the Blockbuster store, there are going to be so many awesome references to the 90s’ and I just can’t wait to be taken along for the ride.

Wonder Woman came out last year to a large array of praise. Not only was it the first female-led superhero film in the modern superhero era but it soared to an outstanding box-office run with $821 million dollars, making it one of the highest grossing films of 2017. It also was the first movie in the DCEU to get legitimate praise from both critics and casual moviegoers who all agreed that Wonder Woman was the new hero of the DCEU.
Fast forward to now and Marvel is presenting their first female-led film with the arrival of Captain Marvel next year. It took twenty movies for a woman to finally get her own standalone film in the MCU but with the arrival of the official trailer just yesterday it seems that the moment we’ve all been waiting for to see Captain Marvel come to life on the big screen is fast approaching. But, because Wonder Woman was the first movie to break the female-led superhero film milestone, comparisons are going to undoubtedly be made and that’s where the topic of this post comes in.
You see, along with the trailer came an incredibly awesome teaser poster that shows Captain Marvel in all of her powerful glory but there’s something a little off about this picture and that is its incredible similarity to the Wonder Woman teaser poster. Let me show you the similarities.
