Is It Just Me or Are The Posters for ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Captain Marvel’ Similar?

Wonder Woman came out last year to a large array of praise. Not only was it the first female-led superhero film in the modern superhero era but it soared to an outstanding box-office run with $821 million dollars, making it one of the highest grossing films of 2017. It also was the first movie in the DCEU to get legitimate praise from both critics and casual moviegoers who all agreed that Wonder Woman was the new hero of the DCEU.

Fast forward to now and Marvel is presenting their first female-led film with the arrival of Captain Marvel next year. It took twenty movies for a woman to finally get her own standalone film in the MCU but with the arrival of the official trailer just yesterday it seems that the moment we’ve all been waiting for to see Captain Marvel come to life on the big screen is fast approaching. But, because Wonder Woman was the first movie to break the female-led superhero film milestone, comparisons are going to undoubtedly be made and that’s where the topic of this post comes in.

You see, along with the trailer came an incredibly awesome teaser poster that shows Captain Marvel in all of her powerful glory but there’s something a little off about this picture and that is its incredible similarity to the Wonder Woman teaser poster. Let me show you the similarities.

I Think The ‘Captain Marvel’ Trailer Is Coming Out Next Week!

Last week Entertainment Weekly released an awesome spread giving us our first look at the highly anticipated Captain Marvel. Now it seems that we’ll be getting a trailer for the film by at least next Tuesday! Isn’t that exciting?

Ever since the end-credits scene in Infinity War teasing Captain Marvel’s inclusion in Avengers 4 I’ve been super excited to see what this new character is all about. And with all of those interesting photos that were released my excitement for the film has burst through the roof. To know that we’ll most likely be getting a trailer sometime next week is beyond incredible and I. CAN’T. WAIT to talk about it.

So, if you were wondering, like me, when we may see the trailer for this film wonder no further because it’s coming out soon. 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.

Will Everett Ross Make a Cameo Appearance in ‘Captain Marvel’?

A couple of days ago I watched one of my favorite superhero films, Black Panther, and one of the characters I really enjoy in the movie is Deputy Task Force Commander Everett Ross. He debuted in Captain America: Civil War with a menial role that didn’t mean much but ended up playing a major role in Black Panther which is so cool. Here was this character that I didn’t really think about and it turns out he kind of ended up being really important.

One of the moments in the movie that stuck out to me while recently viewing the film was when Shuri relays that he is an Air Force pilot. Now, I already knew this of course, but with Captain Marvel becoming the next film to look forward to, the Air Force has suddenly become a lot more important.

Captain Marvel is set in the 90s’ so does that mean we may potentially see a younger version of Everett Ross as an Air Force pilot? Wouldn’t that be awesome?

I think it would be a fantastic cameo and would really shine an even greater light on this somewhat important character.

What do you think? Should Everett Ross have a surprise cameo appearance in Captain Marvel? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

It Seems That We Might Be Getting a Teaser for ‘Captain Marvel’ Pretty Soon

The Marvel movies are done for the year and now we must look forward to the future. The next MCU film that is set to come out is Captain Marvel which is set to come out on March 8, 2019. No material has come out about the film yet which is a little strange considering that the movie is coming out in little over half a year but it seems that is coming to end.

Rumors have begun circling that the first look at Captain Marvel via trailer will be debuting sometime this month. That is so exciting!

I’m one of those people who have zero clue of who Captain Marvel is. I know she’s supposedly very powerful but beyond that I’m utterly clueless. And the synopsis for the film doesn’t help things. Here it is.

Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

This sounds like quite an awesome origin story and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens. The simple fact that it’s being kept so secret pretty much proves how incredible this movie is going to be.

So, if you were like me and you wondering when we’ll finally get to see some footage of the film wonder no further. It’s coming soon and I. Am. Ecstatic. I hope the trailer is worth the wait.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.

Should There Be An All-Female Avengers Movie and Who Should Be In It?

Over the years there has been a fascinating increase of female superheroes in the MCU. There has been such a rise of awesome heroines in this franchise in fact that Tessa Thompson, who plays the role of Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, said that there should be an all-female Avengers movie. A group of actresses even went as far as to approach the top people in Marvel about the idea. So, should there be an Avengers movie that focuses on a team of only women? Um…yeah!

We’ve seen progress in how women are portrayed in superhero movies. Wonder Woman got her first solo film last year which featured not only the first female superhero to get her own movie but it had a female director at the helm as well. It ended up making just a little north of $800 million, proving that women could drive people to the movie theaters. This year Ant-Man and the Wasp was the first Marvel movie to feature a female hero in the title. And next year Marvel is going to feature their first film that focuses on a female hero’s origin story with Captain Marvel.

Why shouldn’t Marvel take things to the next level by introducing a movie featuring a group of heroes that consists of only women. One of the greatest moments in Infinity War was the awesome female team-up between Black Widow, Okoye, and Scarlet Witch. It gave a brief hint at what a female superhero group would look like and it’s pretty awesome. But who should be a part of this heroic team?
