If you weren’t excited about Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom this tv spot might change your mind. Check it out.
Last night I was watching the first game in the NBA Finals and when this commercial came on I was totally riveted. This movie, by far, looks so much better than Jurassic World and I really enjoyed Jurassic World in the movies, specifically in IMAX. One of my favorite things about the Jurassic franchise is that horror aspect the films so easily concoct and this short clip of the movie was legitimately terrifying. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a terrific day. 🙂
The first time I was ever introduced to the Jurassic franchise was in the Spring of 2013. They had brought Jurassic Park back to the movie theaters in IMAX and my Daddy took me and my sister to see it. I had never seen Jurassic Park before then. I only knew that it was a famous movie about dinosaurs so I had no clue the ride I was in for. I walked out of that movie theater positively horrified and exhilarated at how incredible that film was. The dinosaurs looked real despite the fact that it was a 90s’ film. The music, composed by John Williams, was incredible. And my overall experience was just, in a word, fantastic.
Since watching Jurassic Park I have become a legitimate fan of the franchise. I’ve seen The Lost World: Jurassic Park which I really enjoyed and I’ve seen Jurassic World and now, with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, a new installment for the franchise is close to roaring into theaters and I’m legitimately excited for it. But the question is, will Jurassic World be a fantastic movie or will it be a disappointment like its predecessor was? Well, that’s what I’m here to talk about and I hope you enjoy.

When I went to watch Black Panther I saw the Venom teaser for the first time and I was totally into it. I don’t know exactly anything about Venom except that he’s the scary version of Spider-Man (I think) so this movie interests me because maybe I’ll finally be able to understand what Venom is. Yesterday the official trailer for the film dropped and I’m experiencing a range of emotions for it. Check it out.
Okay, first of all, Venom is scary, let’s just get that out-of-the-way. I mean, look at all of those nasty looking teeth. *shudder* I definitely wouldn’t want to be the one in the grip of that monster-symbiote thingy. Secondly, I’m just kind of all over the place with this trailer. On one side I’m excited and then on the other I’m kind of disappointed.
The teaser was perfect and offered enough tantalizing imagery that got me legitimately excited for the film but this trailer has taken that excitement, balled it up, thrown it out of a window, and then retrieved it at the very end of the trailer when we finally got to see Venom in all of his Venomness. That’s upsetting because the teaser was so great and this trailer is just kind of…okay. Another thing that kind of bothered me about this trailer was Tom Hardy.
Tom Hardy is an exceptional actor. In fact, he’s one of my favorite actors because of all of the diverse characters he has played and how well he has played them but this is the first role that I feel doesn’t fit him very well. I mean, I just can’t take him seriously. I think the problem is this movie isn’t good enough looking to have such an incredible actor attached to it.
I don’t know. I like the film for it’s scary alien stuff and I like that this trailer is still not really showing anything except the main villain in Riz Ahmed’s character and a quick glimpse of Venom in full form but there’s something about this movie that just is and isn’t sitting right with me. I’m sure I’ll see the full trailer when I go to watch Avengers: Infinity War this week and so that should fully determine my feelings on the trailer but as it stands this movie has not hit my excitement button.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
