This past weekend I watched the newest Jurassic World movie and for little kids it was a fun ride at theaters but as an adult…it was honestly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.
Dominion finds a way to bring back the OG trio whose role in the film comes a bit naturally but the way they’re utilized in the movie feels like the screenwriters are winking at us the whole time. There is not a single moment of magic in this film. Every scene plays the same, every outcome is predictable, and every moment is annoying.
Dominion has garnered the worst Rotten Tomatoes score in the entire franchise (30%) and it deserves it. It’s a terrible film that treats its audience as if they can throw dinosaurs in our face and we’ll be pleased and honestly, that’s not true.
I’m giving this movie 2 out of 5 stars and 70 out of 100. I would’ve given it a lower score if it hadn’t made me laugh so much because that’s how ridiculous it was.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Jurassic World: Dominion is coming out in less than two months and that means we’re less than two months away from seeing the classic trio together again for this grand finale. Following the footsteps of other franchises, they’re bringing the iconic characters back played by Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. And while that’s exciting (and probably the best thing for this next movie considering how bad Fallen Kingdom was) it worries me for one MAJOR reason.

So…there are some classics that I still haven’t seen and Independence Day was one of them.
Now, I have seen bits and pieces of it but because I had no interest in the film when it was on TV I pretty much had no idea what was going on. So yesterday, while searching for something to watch on HBO Max, I decided to finally watch the film and well, I enjoyed it!
I am not going to say the movie wasn’t cheesy because it was but it embraced its cheesiness and found a way to tell a compelling story that had me on the edge of my seat.
I can see why the film made Will Smith a superstar because he did such a great job in the film. I was often blown away by how dire the film was and how many people perished during the movie. I hate to admit it but I even cried when the First Lady died. Yeah, I’m sentimental and that scene was sad.
All in all, I understand why this movie has become iconic and like its title, it surely embraced the spirit of patriotism and bravery. Man I was cheering at the end. What a fun film.
I’ll give it 85 out of 100 and 4 out 5 stars.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
