‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Is a Masterclass in Action, But Is There Too Much of It?

The first John Wick came out nine years ago, and I’m pretty sure, at that time, no one expected that movie to go on to become its own franchise, but here we are. And let me tell you, John Wick: Chapter 4 is easily one of the greatest action movies of all time.

Chad Stahelski delivers a fourth film that, with a larger budget, is bigger and better than ever. The set pieces are dazzling, the action scenes are fantastically choreographed, and the music is enthralling, but most importantly, Keanu Reeves is just one of those guys. Seeing him perform these stunts is so exciting, as the story plays out so beautifully. But for the first time in this franchise, I think John Wick was outshined by his costars, a medley of fantastic actors who made this franchise just a little radder.

The Trailer for ‘The Matrix Ressurections’ Is Here!

I’ve just recently entered the mind-bending world of The Matrix but when I watched it I understood why the franchise was so beloved because honestly, it was amazing. A very unique story that took sci-fi to the next level. I’ll have to watch it again, in fact.

So, anyway, eighteen years after the last Matrix movie Neo is back and well, the trailer was actually kind of awesome. Check it out.

I’ve got to admit, this trailer covered me in goosebumps. The cinematography makes this film look like John Wick meets The Matrix and the action looks amazing.

Do I think the story is going to be good? Honestly, I’m not quite sure. It feels very reminiscent of other long-awaited sequels that strike you in the face with nostalgia by returning to old moments from the original film rather than pushing the boundaries of something new.

Despite this, I most definitely will be seeing it this Christmas season either in theaters or on HBO Max.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

A Movie Ranking: Keanu Reeves

I mean, honestly, I don’t think there are many people that haven’t watched at least one Keanu Reeves movie that they liked. His filmography is extensive, stretching all the way back to the 80s’ when he was a young up-and-coming heartthrob. Today, I thought I’d highlight the action star for this week’s A Movie Ranking. Enjoy!

5. John Wick: Chapter 2

Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

John Wick: Chapter 2 is a pretty great action movie which shows just the level of awesomeness that Keanu’s films reach, considering that this is on the bottom of this menial list. If you like bone-crunching, gory action scenes that pretty much don’t stop, you’ll enjoy this movie.

Watching ‘The Matrix’ For the First Time

Growing up in the United States as an avid movie lover The Matrix has been as constant a pop culture phenomenon as the likes of Star Trek. I vaguely knew what the movie was about, I’d seen bits and pieces of some of the films in no particular order but had no idea what was going on. So, last night, I decided to watch The Matrix for the first time. Dang, it was better than I expected!

I’ve seen a lot of science-fiction films but this was definitely a trippier one than most movies I’ve seen of this genre. It’s like the next level story of The Terminator‘s concept–A.I. takes over humanity–but adds horror to the recipe. I was positively blown away by the simple but easily riveting story that concocted a movie that would permeate pop culture forever.

By the end, when Keanu Reeves’ Neo finally tapped into his full potential against The Matrix, I was positively pumped and ultimately pleased with the overall experience. No, it isn’t the best science-fiction movie I’ve ever seen but heck yeah it was enjoyable and I’m glad I finally watched it.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.

‘John Wick: Chapter 3-Parabellum’ Is a Truly Fantastic Action Movie

I love a good action movie and John Wick: Chapter 3-Parabellum is undoubtedly one of the best I’ve seen.

A couple of years ago I watched John Wick: Chapter 2 and it wasn’t bad but I wasn’t thoroughly impressed. I only watched half of the film and never chose to finish it. Parabellum never suffers from a boring plot or lack of action sequences. The stunts in this movie are phenomenal, the characters were exceptional, and boy, was it everything I wanted and more.

Let me warn you though, John Wick: Chapter 3 is not for the faint of heart.
