The Rise of Skywalker has its pros and cons but one thing I will never have a bad word to say about is Zorii Bliss, the coolest female Star Wars criminal I’ve seen since Zam Wesell in Attack of the Clones. From the moment she shows up in The Rise of Skywalker she manages to steal every scene with her awesome voice augmented by the helmet, her wicked-cool blasters, that eye-catching outfit that looks killer on her, and her no-nonsense attitude that has made me an immediate fan.
I’m telling you, I need more Zorii Bliss pronto because she is really, really cool.
This was simply a Zorii Bliss appreciation post. 🙂
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. May the Force be with you.
The Rise of Skywalker is drawing ever closer with each passing day and with a new trailer on the horizon, Entertainment Weekly has delivered a tease for the film to only bolster our excitement.
Here’s the Entertainment Weekly photo that came out this week.
It’s a photo of one of the newest characters to join the franchise, an old friend of Poe Dameron’s named Zorri Bliss. Apparently, the heroes will locate her on a new planet named Kijimi where she seems to hold a tidbit of information that they will need in their secret scavenger hunt.
What I’m garnering from this photo is its nostalgic Attack of the Clones vibe. Maybe it’s her helmet or maybe it’s the cinematography. Whatever the case, I’m liking this picture a lot. The Livestream for Triple Force Friday has just ended and the cast for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, The Rise of Skywalker, and The Mandalorian were shown their new toys which will arrive for us to all to buy (and enjoy) on October 4 which is next Friday. To say the actors were excited was an understatement. Here are their reactions via photos to their new toys.
MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD!
Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano witness their Black Order Figures and absolutely lost it.
They turned into children again after seeing themselves as these amazing toys that I definitely want to collect. So exciting. Continue reading Triple Force Friday Delivers Some Cool Surprises
Yesterday after the shocking The Rise of Skywalker panel, Variety caught up with the cast of the highly-anticipated Star Wars film and we learned some rather interesting tidbits about the movie. And so, of course, I had to share the juicy details with you. Enjoy!
It’s Official. Jannah Has a Bow and Arrow
In the thrilling Vanity Fair issue for The Rise of Skywalker we got to get a better look at the newcomer Jannah riding into battle on a pair of Orbaks wielding what is a bow and arrow, or as Naomi Ackie calls it, “a space bow and arrow.” It’s surely going to be an incredible sight to see.
She also confirmed that her character is a hero who has been training all of her life for the fight that has arrived via the First Order. So exciting!

As I expected The Rise of Skywalker just had a massive presence at D23 Expo and I can’t believe the info I’ve just read about the film. Before I get to that here’s the official teaser poster.
Yes, the teaser poster is just as perfect as I’d imagine but get this, a bit of the cast shared a few more tidbits about the characters they’ll be playing.
Keri Russel announced that her character Zorri Bliss is an old friend of Poe Dameron’s. John Boyega promises that the film will be “epic.” J.J Abrams assures people that Leia will have a powerful presence in this movie and is “the heart of this story.”
And then, just when I thought things couldn’t get any better; a bit of new footage was released for the film. Read this.
The group overlooks a small village. An army of ships in spaces. Rey cuts through trees. Kylo emerges from a ship. Rey and Kylo fight surrounded by water. Palpatine narrates — it nears its end” Rey is wearing a black robe — her red lightsaber splits in two, dual wielding like Darth Maul.
O. M. G!!!!!! This is freaking….I don’t know…this is exactly everything that I wanted and yet believed we would never get. Rey is going to turn evil. I can’t freaking believe it! This footage was only released for those at the conference but thankfully people were kind of enough to share it with us.
I can’t believe it! I can’t wait to see this in the official second trailer which will probably arrive this October. For now, I’m just going to figuratively scream in a corner somewhere.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day. May the Force be with us all.

Episode IX begins filming this month and it seems a new actress will be joining the cast for this Star Wars finale. FX’s The Americans actress, Keri Russel, is highly rumored to play a mystery role in the upcoming Star Wars movie and that’s exciting news indeed for two reasons.
One, that means there will be even more fascinating female characters to enjoy in Star Wars. Disney has made the Star Wars franchise such an inclusive instrument of movie making and to see that yet another actress is set to appear in another Star Wars film is super excitign to see.
Secondly, it’s always fun contemplating who certain actors or actresses will be portrayed as. The easy answer is that she’s probably going to play an officer or commander of the Resistance because she just seems like the perfect candidate for that role. Or she could be on the First Order side of things and potentially be a major female villain for the film in the absence of Captain Phasma. Or…and this is where my imagination turns a little bonkers, but what if she was cast for the role of Rey’s mother?
The two actresses definitely have their similarities. They both have the same square face shapes and while Daisy Ridley is clearly a different complexion than Keri Russel that doesn’t matter as much because Rey has a father too. She could’ve gotten her complexion from him.
Wouldn’t this be an astonishing twist?! Here was Kylo Ren saying that her parents were drunkards who died in the Jakku desert and it turns out that they are in fact alive and well. That would be absolutely fascinating and would take the emotional complexity of Episode IX to the next level.
Of course, Keri Russel will probably not be playing Rey’s mystery mother but if she is I am going to lose it with excitement. Please J.J Abrams, please bring the conversation of Rey’s parents come around full circle in this most satisfying scenario. (Please.)
All in all, this is exciting news and I can’t wait to share more tantalizing rumors with you all. I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. May the Force be with you.
