CHEETAH Has Been Sighted in the New Trailer for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

The trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 has finally been released and I have to say, it made me happy. Roles have been reversed with Diana now in the lead of this story with Steve trailing along behind confused like she was in Wonder Woman. And yeah, we finally got to see Cheetah and she looked pretty cool!!! Here’s the trailer.

I’ve got one thing to say. Me likey.

(I’m also relieved to see that the trailer didn’t stray far from the material we’ve already seen but only extended the storyline and a look at the characters. This is exciting and I can’t wait to see this on the big screen. Be prepared for some serious surprises.)

I Think ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Is Going to Suffer the Sequel Curse

I love Wonder Woman, clearly. She’s one of the greatest fictional heroines ever conceived. And yet, her awesomeness hasn’t been perfectly translated on the big screen. Don’t get me wrong, she’s had some chill-inducing moments that have made me SO happy over the years but the slow-mo. Why does every action scene with her contain agonizingly slow slow-motion?

And now, after seeing the teaser and exclusive images for Wonder Woman 1984 from Entertainment Weekly, I have a feeling that this movie may suffer the renown sequel curse.

Like, let’s talk about this gorgeous-yet-pointless golden suit Wonder Woman has come across in this movie. Because this is a prequel, once again we are faced with the question, “Why didn’t she have this suit in the later films because it seems pretty awesome?” Continue reading I Think ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Is Going to Suffer the Sequel Curse

The Trailer for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Has Arrived

Wonder Woman 1984 was supposed to come out this year but it didn’t. The trailer just dropped and honestly, I’m upset. Why am I upset? Fundamentally, the teaser trailer wasn’t bad and yet, I’ve come away from the trailer feeling let down like I did when I walked out of the theater two Junes ago.

Wonder Woman is a powerful character who doesn’t need assistance to carry a movie. And yet, the writers cannot let her shine, forcing to share the spotlight with Steve Trevor who is now back from the dead in some undoubtedly strange way. And why is this movie in the 80s’ again? Before I continue to rant here’s a look at the trailer.

On a brighter note, I loved the ending with our first look at her brand new golden suit, which was positively awesome. However, this trailer just didn’t hit my happy buttons. I get it, it’s the 80s’, but the 80s’ centric music felt off-paced and ill-fitting.

I hope maybe seeing this trailer in IMAX during my visit to seeing The Rise of Skywalker will maybe change my mind about this movie but unfortunately, I wasn’t excited before and this definitely didn’t help matters.

Here are four character posters released with the trailer. Continue reading The Trailer for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Has Arrived

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Gives Us First Looks At These Main Characters

Wonder Woman was a global success last year as it broke records and proved that female superheroes can rule the box-office. It’s the only DC Extended Universe film to receive critic appraisal for its simple but well composed story and glorious imagination. And now, two years after its arrival, its sequel will be upon us. So, in the light of Wonder Woman 1984 letting its presence be known at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, here are some photos giving us a first look at the movie.

Steve Trevor Has Come Back To Life?

Steve Trevor looks clearly out of place in this mall filled with the hairstyles and fashions of the 80s’. But that’s not the most bizarre thing about this picture? How is that Steve Trevor is supposedly still alive, perfectly intact, and doesn’t seem to have aged a day and yet it’s over fifty years into the future? Has he had Steve Roger syndrome and is this a narrative plothole waiting to happen?

In Justice League Diana Prince told Cyborg about how losing Steve Trevor was one of the hardest things she’s ever faced. But if he’s not dead are we supposed to assume that she was lying to Cyborg and that Steve Trevor is really alive as an old man somewhere. These questions will hopefully be answered in this Wonder Woman sequel.
