Ranking the ‘Mission: Impossible’ Films from Worst to Best

I saw Mission: Impossible-Fallout a week ago and I can tell you, it’s still blowing my mind. I’ve seen a LOT of action movies but I’ve never seen an action film quite like this before. It was astounding to watch and an absolute treat. But this doesn’t dissuade from the other Mission: Impossible movies’ awesomeness. For over two decades Tom Cruise has taken the character, Ethan Hunt, to new locations, new heights (literally,) and new insane obstacles that seem, well, impossible to complete. And yet Ethan Hunt still finds ways to save the world, even if it comes at the last. Possible. Second. It’s the best!

But how do these films rank in this action-packed franchise? That’s what I’m here to share with you. Enjoy!

Mission: Impossible II

I watched Mission: Impossible II a few years ago and while it did possess one of Tom Cruise’s most jaw-dropping stunts in the franchise the movie was really, really bad. There was WAY too much slow-motion and a little bit too much smooching for my liking. It was so bad in fact that I’m kind of surprised they made a third Mission: Impossible film…but I’m glad they did. 🙂

‘Mission: Impossible-Fallout’ Is Undoubtedly The Best Action Movie Ever Made

This past Sunday I finally got the chance to see Mission: Impossible-Fallout and I was beyond excited. The critics were claiming it to be one of the greatest action movies ever made and, surprisingly, the Rotten Tomatoes score was gradually climbing over the past week. I had to see what all the praise was about. I can honestly tell you it’s true. Mission: Impossible-Fallout, in my humble opinion, is the greatest action movie that has ever hit the big screen.

Literally from beginning to end this film delivers thrills and suspenseful moments left and right while still being able to provide an understandable and compelling story. Think of all of the great action movies you’ve ever seen (SpeedMad Max: Fury RoadDie Hard, and The Fugitive, just to name a few.) This movie is better than all of them combined!

I mean this movie has edge-of-your-seat, heart pounding, chill-inducing, giddy-laughter creating, eye-widening, I-can’t believe-this-movie-is-this-good kind of action in it.

This Is a Super Exciting Movie Week!

This movie summer season has been jam packed with exciting blockbusters from Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Now Mission: Impossible-Fallout is set to hit theaters tomorrow! and I honestly couldn’t be more ecstatic. I am a huge Mission: Impossible fan ever since I saw Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol for the first time. I mean, watching Tom Cruise climb the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai was downright breathtaking.

The New Trailer for ‘Mission: Impossible-Fallout’ Promises Action, Action, and More Action

Every few years there’s a new Mission: Impossible movie to enjoy and this summer’s sixth entry into the spy thriller franchise looks to be the most action-packed installment yet. Here’s the trailer.

I saw Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation in the movie theaters three years ago and it was positively awesome. This film seems to have taken that sense of exhilarating action to the next level as this trailer contains nonstop action throughout its two minute and thirty-three second run time and that is super exciting. It’s summer time and that means it’s blockbuster season and who doesn’t love thrilling blockbusters? I know I do.

I also like that this trailer provided a better insight into the new characters such as Henry Cavill’s CIA agent, August Walker, who is supposedly the main villain in this film. (Ha! That evil Superman theory is going to come true after all. Lol.)

And it seems that the stakes are kicked up yet another notch as Ethan Hunt’s arch nemesis, Solomon Lane, returns to enact his revenge. *rubbing my hands* Exciting.

All in all, this was a great trailer and now I’m beyond excited to see this film. Especially in IMAX. It’s going to be 100% amazing.

Here’s the official poster for the movie and I love it. It perfectly fits the tone of the movie and it’s just a well configured layout of a poster. It actually may be my favorite poster of the franchise so far which is definitely a good sign for the movie. Did I mention I can’t wait to see this film? 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

Here Are My Favorite Trailers from Super Bowl LII

One of the reasons why I was so excited to see the Super Bowl was for the trailers. I’m, as you can tell from my blog, a huge movie lover and so to be able to see so many fabulous movie trailers in one night is a blast for me. Today I’m going to share with you all of the trailers from the Super Bowl that managed to blow my mind. Enjoy!

Skyscraper

I’m not a big fan of movies with Dwayne Johnson in them. They’re usually super corny and films that I just don’t want to see but I have to say, this one interested me a little bit. The story is intriguing and, if executed right, could be really enjoyable. I would totally go see this if I’m having a boring day and I just want to see an action flick.

A Quiet Place

The first time I saw the trailer for this movie was during Justice League and it frightened the mess out of me. The theater was so densely quiet and I was trying to figure out what was going on. I am not a horror film fan whatsoever. I mean I used to cry at Michael Jackson’s Thriller when I was a young child for crying out loud, that’s how much I don’t like scary stuff, but this movie’s plot is so terrifyingly interesting I want to see it.

What is it that they have to stay quiet about? What is going on? I like that the trailers are providing enough tantalizing imagery while keeping the secret of what the horrific villain, or villains will be. That’s great marketing because the only way I’m going to find out who it is their hiding from is if I go see it in the movies. Smart move, Paramount, smart move.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

This trailer had me immediately engaged due to its horrifying beginning. I mean that’s the worst way to wake up right? *shudder* Then as the trailer goes along it slightly veers away from that horror aspect that the trailer began with but it still had me engaged.

What this trailer conveyed to me was that the creators behind the Jurassic Park franchise have realized we, as viewers, don’t exactly care about a story. We want dinosaurs! The more and more dinosaurs you have the more enjoyable the film will be for everyone watching the movie in IMAX and this Jurassic World movie is no exception. They’re going to make sure that they have you watching the movie afraid at every turn, at every monstrous growl rumbling through the theater, and at every open dinosaur maw filled with racks of knife-sharp teeth about to eat someone. I appreciate that because that’s the only reason why I enjoyed the last one. It was a monster movie and I enjoyed every bit of the screaming humans and roaring dinosaurs rattling my brain in that IMAX theater andI know I’m going to have a great time again watching more screaming humans and more roaring dinosaurs in this sequel. 🙂

‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Has A Name

Earlier this month I wrote a post about all of the movies I was excited to see this year and Mission: Impossible 6 was of course one of those movies. Now we finally, thanks to Tom Cruise, have the name for his next installment in this action-packed franchise. It’s called Mission: Impossible-Fallout.

That’s an interesting name but what does it mean? The last one was called Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation and it was about a covert organization that were basically the anti-IMF who were using their skills to terrorize the world. Now this film is called Fallout and I can’t wait to see what that implies.

Paired with the name of the movie Tom Cruise also released an image of the movie showing him performing yet another jaw-dropping stunt. Check it out.

Yes, that is Tom Cruise hanging on to the side of a helicopter because he is just that awesome. Who knows what’s going on but I can’t wait to find out. Hopefully, because he just released the title of the movie, a teaser trailer will be coming out soon but until that time this is the latest news about the newest Mission: Impossible film.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
