This ride with Ms. Marvel has been interesting to say the least. The first three episodes dropped simultaneously with Kenobi which made for some fun early Wednesday mornings. And the latest three episodes have seemingly flown by due to a storyline that, at times, has felt rushed.
However, despite the finale being fast-paced and feeling very Disney Channel, it’s still official. This is the best MCU series next to Loki and What If…?
It perfectly managed to tell the story it wanted to tell, it made Kamala Khan a character worth rooting for, and it has introduced us to yet another corner of the MCU that is about to expand. The heart of this series was the writers’ incessant addition of her family. They, as well as the empowering nature of this beautiful culture, were the highlights of this series. Without that side of the story I don’t think this show would’ve been nearly as good.
So yes, Ms. Marvel is a solid entry in this growing franchise. No, it isn’t one of my personal favorites but I appreciate what it’s setting up and the foundation it has provided Kamala. And yes, it has made me even more excited for The Marvels next year.
Iman Vellani, you are now iconic.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
