The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around for ten years and it doesn’t look like the franchise is coming to an end anytime soon. With Avengers 4 about to bring a conclusion to a 22-movie storyline, a new journey is about to begin and that means new heroes will have to arrive to save the day. But who will those new heroes be? I’m not going to pretend that I’m an expert on Marvel characters (I am not) but I have done some research and discovered some very cool characters that could be central pieces to this evolving story. So, here are the characters I would love to see debut in the upcoming Phase 4 of the MCU.
1. Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)
The older Avengers’ reign is coming to an end (quickly) and that means we need new heroes to take their place. With Spider-Man’s debut in Captain America: Civil War the idea of the Young Avengers coming to fruition could easily become something very special and Kate Bishop/Hawkeye is a perfect candidate for that youthful organization.
It’s also perfect because her storyline is simple. She grew up idolizing Hawkeye (he was her favorite Avenger) and decided when she got old enough to follow his footsteps as a bow-wielding superhero. Sounds great if you ask me.

I’ve just recently gotten interested in Marvel’s animated cartoons that are available to watch on Disney XD and so I decided to watch Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. I thought it was a tv show but it actually was a tv movie and for the most part I enjoyed it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse cast of characters in the movie. Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl (oh my goodness, I love Squirrel Girl.) America Chavez and Patriot. Quake and Dante. They were all such incredible characters that really opened my mind to the possibilities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ms. Marvel is undoubtedly going to make an appearance sooner rather than later in the MCU. Her character is such an important piece to The Avengers and with Captain Marvel arriving in her own standalone film next year I have a feeling we’ll see the Muslim teenage superhero by at least 2024 (which actually seems a long way from now when you look at it that way.)

Rumors circled a few days ago that Loki and Scarlet Witch would be getting their own shows on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney Play. But which other Marvel characters should also get their own television series? Here are some ideas.
Blade hasn’t debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet but what wouldn’t be cooler than to see this awesome superhero get his own series on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Play. It could be raw but contained enough for a PG-13 audience, it could feature some awesome MCU character cameos, and it could focus on a completely different corner of the MCU that we haven’t seen before. Sounds pretty awesome to me.
