I actually haven’t seen this movie in a while. Maybe I’ll watch it again and give it a better ranking…or not.

35. Thor

Thor has its moments but overall it’s pretty subpar.

‘Ms. Marvel’ Has Proved It’s One of the Best MCU Shows

This ride with Ms. Marvel has been interesting to say the least. The first three episodes dropped simultaneously with Kenobi which made for some fun early Wednesday mornings. And the latest three episodes have seemingly flown by due to a storyline that, at times, has felt rushed.

However, despite the finale being fast-paced and feeling very Disney Channel, it’s still official. This is the best MCU series next to Loki and What If…?

It perfectly managed to tell the story it wanted to tell, it made Kamala Khan a character worth rooting for, and it has introduced us to yet another corner of the MCU that is about to expand. The heart of this series was the writers’ incessant addition of her family. They, as well as the empowering nature of this beautiful culture, were the highlights of this series. Without that side of the story I don’t think this show would’ve been nearly as good.

So yes, Ms. Marvel is a solid entry in this growing franchise. No, it isn’t one of my personal favorites but I appreciate what it’s setting up and the foundation it has provided Kamala. And yes, it has made me even more excited for The Marvels next year.

Iman Vellani, you are now iconic.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

‘Ms. Marvel’ Delivers Yet Again!

Wow, Marvel Studios really has discovered the Disney formula because I keep crying at nearly every new installment. And unsurprisingly Ms. Marvel is no exception.

This episode gripped me from the beginning to the end with a fast-moving but very well-written storyline. We went back in time to discover the truth of Kamala’s family history. We’re seeing Kamala getting better and better at using her powers, which are really cool by the way. Kamran has entered the chat. If you’ve seen the episode you know what I mean. And all in all, that was a really fun, moving episode that had me wiping my tears at nearly 4am.

I can’t wait to see how the finale ends this chapter of Kamala’s story and sets up her next chapter in The Marvels.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

The Fourth Episode of ‘Ms Marvel’ Was Fun

This series has been an absolute blast to enjoy week after week. The cultural elements to this show are its best feature undoubtedly. With each new episode Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan becomes more and more likable.

We’re learning more about her heritage and the incredible power she has inherited which is very exciting. It seems like Marvel Studios is driving a direct link between her and Captain Marvel’s side of the cosmic universe by potentially showing a Kree easter egg in the last episode.

It was also cool meeting Red Dagger, a character who I know is prominent in Ms. Marvel’s story in the comics.

All in all, I’m very excited about next week’s episode. The final scene was very powerful and left me at the edge of my seat. However, I’m slightly pessimistic about the finale. It feels like the story is too big for just six episodes but so far the show has done a great job telling this very beautiful, empowering origin story for Ms. Marvel. And honestly, the thought of her being alongside Captain Marvel in The Marvels is truly heartwarming.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

‘Ms. Marvel’ Is a Reminder of the Beauty of Diversity

Yesterday I watched the third episode of Ms. Marvel and among its intriguing revelations and fun moments, there was something that stood out: its beautiful representation of the Pakistani culture.

As a young African-American woman, I know very little about this lovely culture. American media has painted Muslims in an overwhelmingly one-sided way. In nearly every movie or television show, I have ever watched Muslims are either terrorists or doting sidekicks to a white protagonist. To see this show every week has left me happier and happier.

‘Ms. Marvel’ Has an Official Trailer!

It’s Kamala Khan’s time! Here’s the trailer for her upcoming show which I am SO EXCITED to see. Check it out.

I truly believe Iman Vellani is about to become as iconic as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man with her MCU debut in Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel has always been a fantastic character and now that she’s officially part of the MCU I’m freaking out a little bit.

That last shot especially…so many chills! This is going to be a great show, I can already tell.
