‘Dune: Part Two’ Has Been Greenlit and Pixar’s ‘Lightyear’ Has a Teaser Trailer

Yes, yesterday Dune: Part Two was greenlit by Legendary who was ultimately the production company that would decide the sequel’s fate. Everyone was waiting (im)-patiently for the official announcement which, thankfully, dropped yesterday.

The news was met with genuine joy/excitement from the thousands of people, like me, who are beyond thrilled to see Villeneuve’s vision for Part Two. The film was also given a date: October 23, 2023.

That’s a reasonable date. It gives Villeneuve and the returning crew time to prepare themselves for filming the project as well as plenty of time to smooth out the kinks if need be. And in 2023 we’ll get the second in what Villeneuve has planned to be a trilogy. That’s a very exciting and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Movie Trailer Flashback: Here’s the Teaser Trailer for ‘Soul’

Every year Disney/Pixar releases a new movie for children (and adults) to obsess over. In a few weeks, the highly-anticipated Frozen II will be hitting theaters and making a killing at the box-office. The film has been eagerly awaited for six years since its predecessor, Frozen, blew the minds of nearly everyone who watched it. And just a few months ago, we got to see the “final” installment in the Toy Story franchise with Toy Story 4, a heartfelt film that’s designed to pluck at your heartstrings. However, next year there are three more Disney/Pixar movies to look forward to. OnwardSoul, and Raya and the Last Dragon. A few days ago the teaser trailer for Soul was released and of course, I watched it. Here it is.

Soul is heavily reminding me of Inside Out but I have hope that it will be better than Inside Out was. I don’t know, I just wasn’t a fan of the film, Inside Out. When I get Disney+ next week I’ll definitely give it another chance because maybe there was something that I was missing last time that I’ll get this time but one thing’s for certain, Soul is going to be good (and will very likely bring many tears to viewers’ eyes.)

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a remarkable day.

‘Ratatouille’ Is Actually Pretty Good!

A little over a decade ago my sister and I watched Ratatouille for the first time. We didn’t like it that much. And yet, thanks to Disney+, we got to watch it and I was pleasantly surprised.

As a child, some of the film’s themes were a bit too mature for me to understand and I ended up not being able to follow the story that well or feel any emotional connection to it. But, as a young adult, the movie shined in ways I wasn’t expecting.

No, this isn’t one of those Pixar movies that’ll make you cry your eyes out (well, at least it didn’t make me cry) but it did touch my heart with a touching storyline that left me laughing and riveted through its entirety.

Unsurprisingly, this is yet another Pixar hit.

I’m giving this movie 91 out of 100 4 out of 5 stars.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Here’s the First Look at Disney’s ‘Onward’

I love Disney movies. From the classics like The Lion King to the newer Disney/Pixar films like Frozen and Coco Disney makes me happy on so many levels. And now Disney is bringing out a new film to obsess over; Onward. It stars Marvel alumni, Chris Pratt, and Tom Holland, in a fun new adventure that I can’t wait to see. The first teaser appeared last night during the first game of the NBA Finals and I couldn’t wait to share it with you all. Here it is.

Oh, this is going to be fun. I can already tell. It’s set to come out next March and I have a feeling it just may be the next Frozen. We’ll see.

Oh, it’s so cute. I love it already. 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

Should There Be an ‘Incredibles 3’?

Recently I rewatched Incredibles 2 on Netflix and all throughout my time watching the film ideas for potential sequels kept popping into my head. The possibilities of yet another sequel to the critically-acclaimed animated franchise seem slim, considering that it took writer/director Brad Bird fourteen! years to finally bring The Incredibles back to the world, but there are so many directions the movie could go.

I mean, off the top of my head, here are two storylines I think a sequel could tackle.

1. An Ultimate Superhero versus SuperVillain Conundrum

With superheroes being legalized at the end of Incredibles 2 the world of supers is back and popping. The Incredibles could be fighting the baddies, saving citizens and making the world a better place, but then here comes the ultimate villain ready to bring the world to its knees.

I would love to see the main antagonists without powers like the previous two villains but he (or she) controls a cult of villainous baddies with superpowers and together they strive to take over the world.

The Incredibles, with the help of Frozone and other new or old supers, could face the impending threat in an action-packed third installment to an already fantastic film.

2. The Incredibles Take a Considerable Time Jump

For two movies we’ve seen The Incredibles in relatively the same state. Incredibles 2, however, did shine a light on Baby Jack Jack’s powers but there wasn’t much that had changed. If there were to be a sequel I think it would be very smart to show the superhero family in a new stage of their lives.

Maybe Violet could be an adult, Dash would be a teenager, and Baby Jack-Jack could be at an age between seven and nine years old. That would give viewers of the third Incredibles movie something different to grasp onto, which would be very important.

So, based on these two ideas of mine, should there be an Incredibles 3? If written correctly, definitely. These movies are fantastic for children and adults and I’m hoping Disney sees the potential in a continued storyline.

What do you think? Would you like to see a third installment for the incredible franchise? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
