It’s Father’s Day and that means it’s time to look at some of the greatest father figures in cinema. Enjoy!
Scott Lang a.k.a Ant-Man
There aren’t a lot of fathers in the MCU but the most prominent and consistent father/child relationship is Scott and Cassie Lang. Scott cherishes his daughter more than anything in the world and his daughter wants to be just like her dad. It’s an ultra-cute dynamic that has continued over the course of three movies (Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Avengers: Endgame.)
Now, it’s very likely that the next Ant-Man film will see our first superhero father/daughter team-up which is truly an exciting prospect!
It’s Sam Wilson day (a birthday for the character, not the actor) and so because of such an occasion I thought it would be fun to highlight the fascinating character posters for the characters that will define the Captain America legacy due to their impact on the MCU (and yes, that means including John Walker too.) Enjoy!
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is going to be a great show, the newest trailer for the series has shown as much, and this new poster is honestly one of my favorite in the MCU. Here it is.
Why is this poster making me so happy? Well, first off, Sam and Bucky look great. (I love Bucky’s Wakandan arm.) Zemo is back and he’s got his mask! I love that so much. Agent 13 is back and cooler than ever. But most importantly, we get our first major look at a new character, US Agent who, equipped with what appears to be Cap’s shield and decked out in black-and-red, is looking exactly what I would expect an evil Captain America to look like.
There’s going to be a lot to this series and it’s already been said that the show will deal with Sam’s reluctance to be the new Captain America. US Agent is going to fill that void and from what I’ve seen from leaks he’s going to be really interesting in the story.
I love WandaVision and I can’t wait for this week’s newest episode but The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is old-fashioned Marvel and I can’t wait to absorb every second of it.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day.
I almost can’t believe it. In just a little over a month just two weeks after WandaVision’s conclusion we will be getting one of the most anticipated shows of the year, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
In light of this, Marvel Studios has dropped an official trailer. Check it out.
I’ve just got to say, I love this show already. Unlike WandaVision which is delightfully strange this show feels like a classic MCU film. Sebastian Stan has already made sure to let everyone know that the show’s tone is very similar to that of the Captain America: The Winter Soldier and that is exciting indeed.
This trailer provides all the feels; humor and a total sense that this show is going to bring that classic Marvel action. But oh the surprises along the way that we will discover and enjoy over the series’ six episodes. I cannot wait to see this show!
I love Marvel. Tomorrow, I will be sharing my experience watching The Lord of the Rings and I am so, so very excited.
Until then, I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
Sam Wilson and Sharon Carter were sitting in the hotel room garnering as much information as they could about the terrorists and the potential motives behind their European raid when the door to the room opened. Jumping to their feet with their guns drawn they were prepared to eliminate the potential intruder but, to their relief, it was only Steve Rogers. They let their guard down and then was instantly surprised as Natasha Romanoff walked into the room shortly afterward.
Sharon smiled. Sam crossed his arms. As the door closed behind Natasha she nodded at Sam.
Steve Rogers turned on the television, his eyebrows furrowed as he hurriedly filtered through the stations until he found a news channel. The headlines read: EUROPE FALLS UNDER ATTACK BY WOMAN IN GOLDEN MASK.
Sharon Carter was already on the phone talking with her confidant, Baker.
“What’s going on?” she asked as she paced back and forth on the other side of the room. “Who is the woman in the golden mask?”
