‘She-Hulk’ Just Might Be the Next Great MCU Show

It’s here folks! She-Hulk has now made its highly-anticipated premiere on Disney+ and yes, it’s already a blast. Consisting of nine 30-minute episodes, She-Hulk is an action-comedy and that’s exactly what the pilot details in an exciting fashion. Jessica Gao, a writer for critically-acclaimed comedies like Robot Chicken and Rick and Morty, has imbued this show with distinct feminism and hilariousness.

Even though Jennifer Walters is a brand new character Tatiana Maslany and Jessica Gao have created a character who feels fully established. The fact that she’s Bruce Banner’s cousin doesn’t seem weird or forced, she feels like she’s always known him, we’ve just never spent enough time with Banner to contemplate that he had family members. And their dynamic in this show is absolutely fantastic.

This Week of Marvel Studios News Is All About the Women

As an MCU fan, this week has been an absolute feast.

First off, a couple of days ago, this new official look at Thor: Love and Thunder revealed better looks at the two women who will most likely steal the show in MCU’s next film, Thor: Love and Thunder.

Tessa Thompson returns for her third MCU appearance as King Valkyrie and yes, she looks like royalty.

Next to her is Natalie Portman who has very much been transformed by the Marvel regimen and become freaking Mighty Thor. I mean look at her! This multiversal version of Padme would’ve given Anakin something to think about if he tried to turn against her.

And in the bottom-right corner is, supposedly, our first human version of Bast, the Panther Goddess who granted the Wakandans the power of the Black Panther. If that is her, she looks absolutely stunning.

Tatiana Maslany Isn’t She-Hulk?

It was announced about a week and a half ago that a newcomer to the MCU, Tatiana Maslany, had arrived to portray Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series. However, Tatiana Maslany has said in a recent interview that she hasn’t been cast as She-Hulk. In fact, she may not be involved with the series at all! Apparently, it was a report blown out of proportion by Deadline, confusing a bunch of people, including MCU alum himself, Mark Ruffalo who personally congratulated her on Twitter.

Her denial seems pretty genuine and if so, that means, who is actually going to play She-Hulk? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Throwback Friday: Here are 5 Characters I Hope Will Be in Phase 4 of the MCU

On June 15 of this year, I wrote a post sharing the five superheroes I wanted to see in Phase 4 of the MCU. Here’s a look back at my choices and which ones actually ended up correct, which is amazing! Enjoy!

Monica Rambeau

Monica Rambeau’s debut was in Captain Marvel. Like Cassie Lang in the Ant-Man films, she was inspired by her superhero co-parent, in this case, it would be Carol Danvers, and she wanted to help fight the bad guys.

The events of Avengers: Endgame, which mostly takes place in the year 2023, is twenty-eight years after Captain Marvel. That means Monica Rambeau, by Avengers: Endgame is in her late thirties’. If Marvel follows her story like in the comics then that means she’s surely a superhero by that time. Maybe in a future film, we’ll get to see Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau team up in the ultimate heroine-duo as two flying bolts of pure power. Wow. Now that’s a thought.

Here are 5 Characters I Hope Will Be in Phase 4 of the MCU

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is coming. With Spider-Man: Far from Home releasing in theaters worldwide in a few weeks it’s impossible not to think about the future and the incredible new characters we can expect to see. While there are many heroes that are still alive and kicking heading into Phase 4 there are some that may not be a part of The Avengers right now but have already been planted in the MCU. And today I’m going to list five heroes that I’m really anxious to see join the ranks of heroes in the future. Enjoy!
