‘Black Widow’ Gets Another Release Date and Disney+ Gets More Highly-Anticipated Content

Well, it’s official; Black Widow is coming out on July 9 simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. The model must be doing well with Raya and the Last Dragon considering that Disney has decided to move forward with this approach for Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie.

With Black Widow being delayed yet again, we’ve also got a new date for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which is now slated for a September 3 release. And then just two months after that we’ll apparently be getting Eternals on November 5 and a month later Spider-Man 3 on December 17 if everything goes according to plan.

If there was ever a time for MCU fatigue that would be now with at least three Marvel Disney+ series still set to debut (Loki, What If…?, and Hawkeye) and now four movies to watch in the last five months of the year. Yeah, it’s a bit excessive but as a Marvel fan I am here for all of it.

Cruella (2021) - IMDb

And then there was even more Disney news. Cruella, the origin story of Disney’s evilest villain, Cruella de Vil, is now simultaneously coming out on May 28 in theaters and on Disney+. I am very excited to see this movie and how Emma Stone can recreate this classic character in her youth. However, I hope the movie keeps her unapologetically evil and doesn’t try to humanize her too much to the point where we actually see her as a bit of a hero, not the terrifying lady that we know in 101 Dalmatians. But I will definitely be watching this via Premier Access because I’m just not that invested to see this in theaters.

And then on June 18, one week after the Loki premiere, Disney/Pixar’s newest movie, Luca will be coming to Disney+ free of charge. Yay!

All in all, Disney is going to bring plenty of smiles to our faces this year.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

‘Spider-Man 3’ Has a Title!

I have loved the two previous Spider-Man films and I’m ridiculously excited for the third movie.

I’ve honestly been pumped to see this film since that jaw-dropping mid-credits scene but once Benedict Cumberbatch was connected to the movie I have become feverishly excited for the upcoming movie (because Doctor Strange is my absolute favorite!!!)

Yesterday we finally were offered the title of the movie: Spider-Man: No Way Home. This sounds very intriguing because it gives the impression that Peter Parker may be on the run. And if the Sinister Six are going to be a part of this he’ll definitely be in plenty of trouble.

The other bit of news we were given is that Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming out this Christmas. Talk about an awesome Christmas activity!

Ooh, I’m excited and I cannot wait to see what this movie is about.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day.

My Excitement for the Future: Doctor Strange

2021 is here and there’s a lot to be excited about but mainly, I’m thrilled to be returning to the storylines of so many characters and franchises in the coming months. I’m starting a new series featuring each of my favorite characters from different franchises and what I’m most excited to see with them. So, I decided to start this series with none other than my favorite superhero in the MCU, Doctor Strange.

If you had told me five years ago that Doctor Strange would end up becoming my favorite MCU superhero I wouldn’t have believed it but it became a fact after Infinity War.

We got to see him as the awesome Sorcerer Supreme that he is, handling business and taking on Thanos by himself with one of the most awe-inducing fight scenes in the MCU, no matter how short it is.

Now it seems that the magical doctor will be playing an even bigger role in the MCU moving forward. There’s already been confirmation that Doctor Strange will appear in WandaVision which makes sense considering that the Disney+ series has already been confirmed to tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But that’s not even all!

Spider-Man 3 will feature Doctor Strange in a mentor-like role to Peter Parker in the similar vein to Tony Stark and Nick Fury’s mentor-like roles in both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home. You have no idea how excited I am about this.

Could We Learn the Name of ‘Spider-Man 3’ Next Month?

Spider-Man 3‘s filming is practically under way and Tom Holland and co-star Jacob Batalon have read the script. Now it’s only a matter of time before we learn the name of this movie and it seems that we could potentially get the title reveal along with a sneak peek in December.

Of course, that’s just a speculation. Spider-Man 3 will not be hitting theaters until next December but we will get some details eventually and that’s going to be an exciting day.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

Throwback Friday: I Want to See Doctor Octopus in ‘Spider-Man 3’

Before Tom Holland’s rendition of the iconic Spider-Man, I was never a fan of the character. The villains, however, that’s another story.

From Green Goblin to Kingpin to Doctor Octopus and Venom, Spider-Man has some of the greatest comic book villains of all time. I’ve just recently been introduced to The Vulture and Mysterio thanks to Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far from Home as well as The Prowler and Scorpion due to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and they are just as fascinating.

Spider-Man 3 will have to deliver an even greater villain (or villains) for Peter Parker to have to face and one antagonist I want to see on the big screen is Doctor Octopus.

Ever since I was a kid watching the old Spider-Man cartoon Doctor Octopus has been one of my favorite villains of all time. It would simply be wish fulfillment to see this character on the big screen, in IMAX, played by some fantastic actor who’ll bring Doc Ock to life in a way I’d never thought I’d see. Doctor Strange Is Back Baby!

I’ve said this plenty of times before but…Doctor Strange is my Marvel favorite superhero. I never would’ve thought that four years ago (which was about a month before Doctor Strange entered theaters) but it’s true. Benedict Cumberbatch portrays the character so impeccably that I can’t imagine anyone else playing the hero. It’s almost as if he was made to one day don the goatee and red high-collared cloak of the Sorcerer Supreme.

I’ve been waiting for his sequel since walking out of the theater on November 4, 2016 and while his sequel will have to wait it was just reported yesterday that Doctor Strange will appear in Spider-Man 3.
