‘The Last Jedi’ Is Only Three Days Away!

As the days go by the moment we have all been waiting for is drawing ever closer and I can’t believe it. When The Force Awakens came out two years ago I would’ve never imagined the story evolving into what it is now and I’m simply excited to finally see what happens next on these characters’ incredible journeys.

Today critics’ reviews for The Last Jedi will be released and I’m not reading any of them. I saw the reactions on Twitter and those were all of the reviews that I needed to know. The commercials, trailers, and featurettes have spoiled enough content. I don’t want to know anything else about the movie that I might not know about already. Besides, I’m going to find out everything in three days. I think I can wait a little longer to see what’s going to happen in this movie.

So, here’s the teaser for today.

This teaser is simply a compilation of everything that’s already been shown, with the exception of maybe two clips that go by so fast if you blink you could miss it. I love that though. The people behind LucasFilm are absolute pros when it comes to marketing Star Wars movies. When The Force Awakens was coming out I thought Finn was going to be the new Jedi of the trilogy and come to find out it was actually Rey. And then with Rogue One nearly all of the footage shown in the trailers and tv spots wasn’t even in the actual movie! That means that even though there have been over two dozen tv spots and several trailers for The Last Jedi I won’t truly know what this movie is about until I sit in that movie theater on Friday and that is an exciting thought.

And the Character Today Is…

Everyone’s favorite ex-stormtrooper, Finn! First, Finn is one of the most original characters to have a major role in a Star Wars film. I mean, he’s not your typical Star Wars hero. He isn’t a heroic Resistance pilot like Poe. He isn’t a benevolent scavenger like Rey. He’s literally a stormtrooper! He was one of those faceless robots who wouldn’t hesitate to murder innocent civilians if ordered to. Up until The Force Awakens stormtroopers were never given a second thought. We didn’t know or care about the people underneath the white helmets. Then Finn obtained a conscience and turned good and you suddenly realize that stormtroopers aren’t just clones programmed to kill. They have emotions just like everyone else in the galaxy.

Finn’s journey in The Force Awakens was a blast to watch. He went from being a mindless soldier of the First Order to becoming a hero of the Resistance by the end of the movie. And even though he nearly died fighting Kylo Ren in a lightsaber duel his bravery was inspiring and I’m really glad that they didn’t kill him off.

Now his journey will continue in The Last Jedi and I am super excited to see where his story will take him this time around. I know he has a showdown with his old boss, Captain Phasma, which I can’t wait to see. I know he’s involved in some sort of secret mission which will have him going with Rose to the beautiful city of Canto Bight. And I know he’ll participate in the battle on Crait but besides those three things I am truly in the dark about his story and I would like to keep it that way.

Finn is one of my favorite characters to ever appear in Star Wars and I’m super excited to see him again in this next movie.

I thank you for reading and I hope you a great day. May the Force Be With You.

There Are Only Four Days Left!

I can’t believe it. It is literally only four days away until The Last Jedi premieres around the U.S. I’m excited because the critics’ reaction is mind blowing. Nearly every reaction was extremely positive. That wasn’t the case with neither The Force Awakens or Rogue One. It’s incredible to think that this might end up being the best Star Wars movie to have come out since The Empire Strikes Back.

Well, this is another different teaser. Enjoy!

The new footage in this teaser is brief but any new footage from The Last Jedi is awesome.

The one and only Luke Skywalker! He appeared for less than a minute in The Force Awakens and it was the best scene in that movie. Can you imagine how amazing The Last Jedi is going to be with him in more than one scene?

There are so many things I’m excited to see with this iconic character but I’m really hoping he has an incredible action scene. It’s been thirty years since the events of Return of the Jedi and I’m sure he’s become more powerful since then. Can’t you imagine him force pushing some foes all over the place? Or maybe even bringing a secret lightsaber out to fight alongside Rey? That would be awesome?!

All in all, I can’t wait to see this movie and I hope Luke will be as amazing as I think he will be.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force Be With You. It’s only four days left! Yay!

Check Out This Incredible New Featurette for ‘The Last Jedi’

Yesterday a new featurette debuted on starwars.com showcasing the work done to create the new worlds from The Last Jedi and it is my favorite featurette that has come out so far. Here it is.

Not only does this featurette show some incredible insight into the makings of the worlds we have already seen such as Ach-To and Crait but it gave me my first extensive look at the new world, Canto Bight, and I am simply blown away. I love new worlds in Star Wars that are completely original and there has never been a location as ritzy-ditzy as Canto Bight. I know for a fact that I’m going to watch the Canto Bight scenes in slack-jawed awe.

It’s also exciting to see that the fascinating world of Crait was filmed at an actual location. One of the reasons why the end scene of The Force Awakens is my favorite scene of all time is because Ach-To wasn’t a CGI-created world. It was a real location that’s here on Earth and it provided the movie that magic at the end of the movie that the prequels, which were heavily CGI ridden, could never have given me. To see that this incredible new location, Crait, was filmed on a vast salt plain in Bolivia will make The Last Jedi that much better.

And it’s always amazing to see the beautiful location Skellig Michael, Ireland which brought Ach-To to life. It’s such a gorgeous island. I completely understand why Luke went there in exile. If he was never going to see anyone again at least he would find peace on a beautiful planet.

This featurette not only helped increase my excitement for this amazing new Star Wars film coming out in five days but I finally was able to see a little bit of footage concerning the new location, Canto Bight. Throughout all of the trailers and tv spots there were so many different things being shown but for some reason there weren’t any clips involving Canto Bight. Now that I’ve seen actual footage showcasing that area I can’t wait to see that portion of the movie.

Well, this is the latest, and greatest, featurette to appear for The Last Jedi so far. I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day. May the Force Be With You.

It’s Only Five Days Away!

I watched the wonderful red carpet world premiere of The Last Jedi last night and the verdict is in…the movie, according to some first reactions, is fantastic!!!! Now I can rest a little more easily knowing that this movie that I have been waiting for two years to come out is actually good. And now I’m even more excited for this movie than I was before. Man, this movie isn’t coming fast enough.

Okay, here’s the teaser I’m sharing today.

This is one of my favorite teasers because it has so many incredible moments in it. You’ve got a beautiful interaction between Poe Dameron and General Leia which is so exciting to see. Poe’s so cool. Then there’s some more incredible Millenium Falcon action which I know is going to be exciting to see. And did you see that Porg fall against the window? That’s hilarious. And seeing Luke talking to R2-D2 is so awesome. It’s the first thing I’ve seen with him that reminds me of his old self and not the grumpy hermit he has become. All in all, this is a fabulous teaser and I am thrilled to see this movie.

And the Character Today Is…

General Leia! There are a lot of amazing characters in this movie but unfortunately Leia is the only one that is definitely not going to make it to the next film due to Carrie Fisher’s unfortunate passing last December. I’m hoping her story arc in the movie will have a satisfying end because that would be a huge disappointment. I know for a fact that whatever happens in this film concerning her will be amazing and I’m just counting down the days anxiously until I can see this movie.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force Be With You.

‘The Last Jedi’ Has A Bunch of Amazing New Posters and They Are Awesome!

It’s only six days until The Last Jedi comes out and there are a whole bunch of new posters to look at. Here are my favorite ones. Enjoy!

‘The Last Jedi’ “Pop Icon” Posters

Poe Dameron’s Helmet

I like this poster because it’s a simple background but Poe’s black and red helmet is very well drawn. He really does have the coolest helmet a rebel pilot could have.

The Dreadnought

The Dreadnought is already one of the most exciting new ships to make its debut in The Last Jedi and this poster accentuates that. I love the combination of the dark blue and the steely grey. This is a rather awesome poster.

It’s Only Six Days Left!

We have finally reached the milestone where it is less than a week until The Last Jedi comes out and I can’t believe it. This time next week I will have seen The Last Jedi and that is an amazing thought. After waiting for nearly two years the time to see this highly anticipated film is fast approaching and I’m just holding on for the ride.

And, what’s even better, this evening at 5:00pm the red carpet world premiere for The Last Jedi will be live! You can go to starwars.com and watch it with hundreds of thousands of other viewers and I can’t wait. After today I’m sure the first reactions to the film will start surfacing and I’m anxious to see what people have to say about this Star Wars sequel.

So, off of that exciting news, this is the teaser I’m highlighting today.

This teaser is awesome for several reasons but the main reason is it shows the first clip of Rose! That’s incredible! After over a dozen tv spots and a few trailers we finally have our first look at Rose in action and I am ecstatic. There was, of course, a new shot of Rey, some extra footage with Finn, and a glimpse at how amusing the new Porgs will be in this film but the highlight definitely goes to Rose. She’s awesome!

And the Character Today Is…

Everyone’s favorite pilot, Poe Dameron! I’m so glad that J.J Abrams and the other writers changed his role in The Force Awakens and let him live because he really is that cool. I also love that they’re not trying to make him a new age Han Solo. He is his own character and while he does have a natural swagger about him it’s not as if he’s filling the void where Han used to be.

I’m also very excited to see how his character evolves in this film. In The Force Awakens he was only a pilot but in The Last Jedi he will have to move beyond his piloting skills and test the waters of his leadership skills for the first time. I’m excited to see what type of leader he will be and I simply can’t wait to see this film.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have an absolutely gorgeous day. May the Force Be With You.

Only One Week Remains Until ‘The Last Jedi’!

It’s only a week left until The Last Jedi finally premieres around the U.S and I am very excited. I remember months ago waiting for this moment to come. Now that it’s here it’s kind of unfathomable. First, Halloween came, then Thanksgiving, and now the moment that I have been waiting for nearly two years has finally arrived.

To celebrate this incredible milestone I am having a wonderful activity. For each day of this incredible week I am going to watch a Star Wars film that coincides with the day. So, because this is the first day of the seven day countdown, I am going to watch The Phantom Menace. And it continues so forth. I’m skipping The Attack of the Clones though. I am not wasting any brain space on that terrible movie. By doing this next Thursday I will watch The Force Awakens and that’s going to be so exciting! That’s going to be fun.

Now, here’s the new teaser for today.
