Star Wars: Resistance premiered last week and with two weeks passing and all of the main characters being presented fully I’m going to share with you who I think are the worst and best characters are in this show. Enjoy!
5. Neeku Vozo
Neeku is a likable character, there’s no doubt about that, but his youthful naivety can be a bit…much at times. In the first episode, he kept saying the same thing over and over again until the point of exasperation on my part and the next two episodes didn’t make him any cooler. Neeku is sweet but there’s a line between sweet and a tad bit annoying that the show hasn’t figured out how to navigate just yet.
4. Tam Ryvora
Tam is basically Rose from The Last Jedi novelization. She’s grumpy like Rose was supposed to be and she’s a great mechanic. Up to this point so far in this season, she hasn’t been given a chance to play a huge role in the show. Of course, the show is about Kazuda Xiono but I am interested in learning more about her in the coming episodes.

If you may not have known a new animated Star Wars cartoon called Star Wars: Resistance debuted last night on the Disney channel (it’s also premiering tonight on Disney XD at 8pm) and, of course, I tuned in to watch it.
I’ve been a fan of the Star Wars cartoons since The Clone Wars came out. After binge-watching all 5 riveting seasons (and the lost episodes) I was beyond excited to see more animated Star Wars series. I missed the entire Star Wars: Rebels series (which I plan to binge-watch in the future) but I was determined to see Star Wars: Resistance.
When it came on last night I was thrilled to see a new story being told that would fill in some gaps of the current trilogy.
I loved Poe Dameron’s inclusion in the series. It brought a familiarity to the show that made me want to turn on The Force Awakens. But, as the show continued on, it became abundantly clear that this was no Clone Wars.

After the final season of Star Wars: Rebels ended earlier this year people began to wonder what the next Star Wars cartoon would be. Well, the animated series is called Star Wars: Resistance and it will focus on a young pilot named Kazuda Xiono who works as a spy for the Resistance. This cartoon will feature Poe Dameron, voiced by the actual Oscar Isaac, Captain Phasma, voiced by Gwendoline Christie, and everyone’s favorite droid, BB-8. Here’s the trailer.
What I like about this trailer are two things. One; I love the animation. It’s different and yet it’s just as detailed and concise as The Clone Wars cartoons. And the second thing I’m liking about this trailer is that it isn’t really showing anything.
This cartoon is interesting because it’s showing the Resistance shortly before the events of The Force Awakens which is really exciting. That means we’ll see characters we know plus maybe some plot points that’ll be elaborated further on in this animated series.
The cartoon will have an hour long premiere on the Disney channel on October 7. I’m totally going to watch it and share with you my reviews of the first couple of episodes.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day. May the Force (and the Resistance) be with you. 🙂
