Should Michael B. Jordan Be Cast As The Next Superman?

After Henry Cavill stepped down from the role of Superman in a shocking announcement that rocked the internet people have already begun wondering who the next Superman should be. One choice that has fans super excited is the prospect that Creed/Black Panther star, Michael B. Jordan will assume the role of Superman. If that were to happen it could change how we view iconic superheroes, for it would be the first time a black man played the role of Superman.

Now while I totally support that and think that would be very awesome the idea of Michael B. Jordan playing Superman doesn’t exactly sit well with me.

He’s a great actor, no doubt about that, but one thing you never want to do is to saturate an exciting talent. Michael B. Jordan did such a fantastic job playing Erik Killmonger in Black Panther that I kind of can’t see him in any other superhero type of role, leastwise as Superman!

It’ll feel a bit strange seeing him transition from Marvel to DC in that way and I don’t think it would be a great idea. Now I’m sure he could easily pull it off but I just don’t know if I want to see him as Superman.

But, at the end of the day, it’s up to the producers behind the DC Universe. If they like the idea of Michael B. Jordan as the next Superman then I’ll have to wait and see whether it’ll be awesome or not. And if it is awesome I’ll be even more of a Michael B. Jordan fan.

This is just my opinion on the Superman recasting situation. Honestly, I don’t know who should be the next Superman but I can’t wait to see who it’ll be. 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Henry Cavill Isn’t Going To Be Superman Anymore?

Breaking News: Henry Cavill isn’t going to assume the role of Superman anymore!

Can you believe that?! I know I can’t believe it.

Just a few hours ago it was announced that Henry Cavill had parted ways with Warner Bros. and the DCEU and will no longer reprise his role as the heroic Kryptonian, Superman. He’ll make one final cameo appearance in the upcoming DC Comics movie, Shazam! which is set to come out next April but after that he will officially be gone.

It’s a stunning announcement and one that easily reveals the inner turmoil in the DC Extended Universe. It’s already been rumored that Ben Affleck would eventually stop being Batman but this is totally unexpected.

Henry Cavill Should Be the Next James Bond

After the last James Bond film comes out featuring Daniel Craig a new James Bond will have to be crowned and there’s been a lot of debate on who should play the iconic character. Some think Tom Hiddleston, who you may know for his role as the God of Mischief, Loki, should be the new James Bond. Rumors began circling that Idris Elba would take the role and become the first black James Bond. Those rumors have recently, however, been debunked. And then there are, of course, other British-born actors that could take the role but I think the next man to play the iconic James Bond should be Superman himself, Henry Cavill, and this is why.

1. He’s Handsome

The first aspect that every James Bond needs to have is the looks. Well, Henry Cavill definitely has those in abundance so that’s not going to be a problem. 🙂

My Review of ‘Justice League’

I heard the critics and all of their opinions on Justice League. They said it wasn’t a movie worth watching, that it was a huge step backwards from Wonder Woman, and I believed them, that’s why it took me until yesterday to see it. And now that I’ve seen it I’m so glad I did. I have to admit, I enjoyed Justice League immensely. I watched the entire film, credits and all, thinking at any point that the movie was going to turn south and I was going to regret ever coming to see this superhero flick but it never happened! The story was simple yet cohesive, the characters were great, and yes there were flaws but overall I had a great time watching this movie. So, on that note I’m going to tell you all of the things I did and didn’t like about this film. Enjoy!

SPOILER ALERT! If you haven’t seen Justice League yet and you would rather stay in the dark about the movie’s premise and outcomes I would advise you to discontinue reading this now. Okay, I thank you for acknowledging this warning. Now to the review.

Batman vs. Superman: The Theatrical Cut

I watched Batman vs. Superman for the first time last year once it was available on Google Play. It came with the extended cut and the theatrical cut. Now because I heard it was such an awful film despite the fact that it grossed nearly a billion dollars I wasn’t very excited to see the film. I watched the extended version and I was pleasantly surprised. The story was cohesive enough to follow, the action was enjoyable, and the dialogue was actually interesting. Yes, there were a lot of nods to the Justice League movie coming out this November but it wasn’t annoying. By the time the movie finished I was thoroughly confused. Why were so many people saying this movie was terrible? What was I missing? Then last week I got a serious urge to watch Batman vs. Superman after the wonderful experience I had with the new Wonder Woman movie. I decided, however, to watch the theatrical cut instead of the extended cut that I watch every time. I was stunned.

The theatrical cut was terrible! It felt like a puzzle that was missing half of its pieces. The scenes didn’t mold together, the direction of the movie was terrible, and it was so confusing I was confused and I’ve watched the movie over five times. Now the final battle with Doomsday was perfectly okay (mostly because of Wonder Woman who was truly the shining light of the film.) The rest of the film, however, was beyond terrible. After it finished I completely understood why people hated this film so much. It was a truly awfully edited movie.

If you have watched Batman vs. Superman and haven’t seen the extended cut you should definitely check it out. It’s thirty-one minutes longer, that’s how much was taken out of the movie. It’ll completely shed a different light on the film and you just might actually like it like I did.

Thank you for reading my post. Have a great day!
