On Saturday I went to see Thor: Love and Thunder with my family, totally expecting to like some of the movie but ultimately coming away from the film with some kind of disappointment. Instead, I enjoyed the film thoroughly from start to finish. So now that the weekend is over let’s talk about this film and all of its exciting (and emotional) moments throughout.

Continue reading Here’s My Spoiler-Filled Breakdown of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’When the first reviews for Thor: Love and Thunder came in I have to admit, I was a little bummed. This just so happened to be one of the MCU films I was most excited about and then suddenly it seemed that maybe it wasn’t going to be as good as I hoped. Well, actually the movie was phenomenal. I’m talking pure joy from beginning to end.
This film does not detract from being a goofy, over-the-top rollercoaster ride but it manages to balance the comedy with a really powerful message of love. I haven’t cried that hard watching anything since Endgame. It leaves you that emotionally attached.
I’ll leave it at this for now. This movie lives up to the hype in all of the best ways and I couldn’t be happier. I’m giving this movie 95 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Yes. After what has felt like forever I think we’ll finally be getting the teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder this week. Here’s why.
Thor himself dropped this on his Instagram today and considering it’s Monday that means we’ll most likely get to see the teaser tomorrow or sometime this week.
I absolutely cannot wait to see this trailer and what Waititi has in store for us. Plus, I want to see Natalie Portman in action as Mighty Thor. I’ve been waiting for that since I saw her muscular arms in the behind-the-scenes photos which blew my mind.

In a little less than four months, Thor: Love and Thunder will be hitting theaters worldwide but it’s almost easy to forget it even exists because there has been next to no promotional material for the film since it was announced.
So, where is this trailer?! I know it’s coming out this month because it has to…right? And when it does I’m going to be excited. Even though I know the trailer won’t be too forthcoming, plotwise. I’m mainly thrilled to see Natalie Portman’s turn as Mighty Thor. That’s going to be awesome.

There are those movies that come out and it seems like it’s going to be really bad and instead the film is a sleeper hit. Free Guy is one of those films.
I won’t elaborate on the plot because that’s part of the brilliance of this new story but if you’re a gamer you’re going to really like this movie. I found myself guffawing quite a bit throughout the film and the end is totally wild and hilarious. There’s a reason why this movie got a sequel.
I’m giving it 91 or of 100 and 4 out of 5 stars.

I mean, it’s in the title. Thor: Love and Thunder, according to Taika Waititi, is going to be a full-blown love story which sounds intriguing, to say the least.
Marvel Studios has tackled a lot of genres but romance hasn’t been one of the franchise’s focal points. There have been some great love stories in the franchise; Tony and Pepper, Steve and Peggy, Wanda and Vision. But that’s honestly about it. That’s why I think it was kind of surprising to everyone that Loki featured a controversial but undoubtedly riveting romance between Loki and Sylvie considering that Marvel doesn’t usually do romance. But it was a nice choice for Loki’s story considering that we’ve already had so many years of content with him, how were the writers going to give him a new motivation outside of wanting to backstab everyone in sight and try to become king? Let him fall in love. Brilliant!
And now it seems that Marvel Studios is ready to tackle the subject of love again with Thor: Love and Thunder which is already looking to be a real treat. Jane Foster will become Mighty Thor, Valkyrie is the ruler of Asgard, Thor is hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Lady Sif is back to reprise her role in a Marvel movie for the first time since 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and Christian Bale is making his Marvel debut as Gorr the God Butcher. The pieces are in place for a great story but the question remains: where will the film’s love story lie?
I already predicted two years ago when Thor: Love and Thunder was announced that the film would probably feature a love triangle between Jane Foster, Thor, and Valkyrie. But now that we know Sif is going to be in the story as well, maybe even she will be added to the equation.
As of right now we know that Jane and Thor parted on somewhat bad terms. They “mutually dumped” one another, meaning they may not be in the mood for rekindling their romantic relationship. In steps Valkyrie whose feelings for Thor have been muted so far but she may have different feelings about Mighty Thor. And Jaimie Alexander has already proclaimed on her Instagram a while back that, considering Valkyrie is looking for a queen, she wants to be said queen. So, yes. There is bound to be lots of love and thunder in this movie and I’m very intrigued to see how Waititi handles a love story.
I can’t wait to eventually see the teaser.
