Here we see a look at the native inhabitants of the brand new planet, Pasaana (so it’s not Jakku after all) which is exciting in itself. These clothes, these outfits, it’s beautiful. I have a feeling this film is going to be visually captivating. Continue reading Revisiting the Photos for ‘The Rise of Skywalker’

Here’s a Fascinating Twist on ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Vanity Fair Covers

The end of May was a pretty exciting time forĀ Star WarsĀ fans asĀ Vanity FairĀ released a tantalizing issue focusing on the highly-anticipated Skywalker saga finale. We got our first look at new characters featured in this upcoming Star Wars movie, new aliens and planets, and an idea of what to expect from the film.

My sister and I were clearly ecstatic about the issue but, as always, my sister takes her excitement and converts that joy into some truly fascinating art and that’s what she did these covers. Here they are.

I’m Scared to See What Happens in ‘The Rise of Skywalker’

The Rise of Skywalker. It’s all someone like me, aĀ Star WarsĀ fan, can think about these days. Why? Well, one, it’s the finale to the nine-film Skywalker saga. Two, it’s a newĀ Star WarsĀ movie. And three, what else is there to think about when it comes toĀ Star Wars–besidesĀ The Mandalorian,Ā The Clone Wars,Ā Star Wars: Resistance,Ā Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order–okay, there’s a lot to think about butĀ The Rise of SkywalkerĀ definitely sits at #1 on the most-interested-about list as of this moment.

I’m proud to say I finally own the latest issue ofĀ Vanity FairĀ (through the will of the Force I got the Kylo Ren version) featuring the stirring behind-the-scenes article ofĀ The Rise of SkywalkerĀ and as I read it I couldn’t help feeling a sense of extreme joy and immense worry at the same time.

An In-Depth Analysis of ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Photos

This weekĀ Star WarsĀ fans were met with a delightful treat asĀ Vanity FairĀ deliveredĀ us a tantalizing look atĀ The Rise of SkywalkerĀ with some jaw-dropping pictures. Many of the pictures were downright fascinating but some were also interesting because they may contain clues to certain storylines in the film. So, as someone who loves to theorize about my favorite movies, here are a few theories I have concocted after seeing these pictures.

1. This Actually May Not Be Kylo Ren

In the teaser we see Rey preparing to fight someone on the sandy plains of Pasaana. It’s an epic scene as she sprints away from the attacker at full speed. We get a glimpse at a pair of gloved hands, the ones you see in the picture above, piloting the upgraded TIE silencer. At first glance, it seems pretty clear that Kylo Ren is driving the craft but now, after theĀ Vanity FairĀ issue, maybe it isn’t him after all.

It’s been revealed that we will see the Knights of Ren in this film but what’s the most intriguing is the obvious fact that they will be on the same planet as Rey, Finn, and Poe. That leads me to ask the question; is Kylo Ren even in this section of the story?

In the first picture, the shot focuses on the pilot’s gloves and gives us a view of the character’s chest but no hints of the face. Is this deliberate? I think so.

Take a look at Kylo Ren on thisĀ Vanity FairĀ cover.
