Have you ever heard of Signs, an M. Night Shyamalan movie from 2002 starring Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix as two brothers living in the Midwest when strange things start happening at their farm.
Yeah, it was a film that I had never heard of before last week but when I watched it I knew I would never forget it.

I watched the movie’s trailer and I knew it was probably going to be a little spooky but it wasn’t until I actually watched the film and found out that it was a M. Night Shyamalan movie that I began to get worried.
I’ve seen The Sixth Sense and Split so I know Shyamalan is good at scaring you and sure enough Signs had me wholly frightened for roughly two hours. Like A Quiet Place, Signs messes with the psyche for much of the duration of the movie but frankly I think Signs is scarier than A Quiet Place.
Is it better than A Quiet Place? No. A Quiet Place is more cohesive and has a stronger ending but Signs is one to watch if you’re a fan of scary sci-fi movies. I honestly have never been so terrified watching a science-fiction movie because when I watched Alien I already knew what the alien looked like and I knew some various scenes thanks to my father always mentioning how much those scenes scared him when he first saw it.
All in all, I’ll give Signs 85 out of 100 and 4 out of 5 stars. It was pretty good but I can’t give it anything over a B.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day.
Yeah, I liked this one a lot when it came out. Sometimes it’s what you CAN’T see that scares you the most, lol.

One of my all time favorites. And creepy is the right word. There is nothing like a scene in which the husband has a final conversation with his wife who is pinned to a tree and will be dead the moment the vehicle is removed. And the acting is amazing. Some might find it a bit odd, but that is only because the movie is framed in M. Night Shyamalan’s mind.
